Did you know that the Virginia Parachute Council offers a second meet test before USPA Nationals? posted: Jul 17th, 2024 Today's embedded leaderboard is a small one and features the teams who took on the most recent competition draw of the NSL 4-way Network. It is a small leaderboard due to the number of completed rounds, even though a total of 19 teams actually posted at least a score for one round.
In fact, only the British 4-way teams were suffering very louzy jumping weather and held out to get the score for the one and only round. The two Czech AAA Class teams, Skywalkers Junior and M Team, made it all the way forward to Round 8, and two teams of the Virginia Parachute Council completed three rounds at Skydive... (more)

Returning league director Kat Osipova has scheduled two 4-way events for the 2024 season, and she is hoping that her 4-way community in the Virginia region is ready to resume activities of the longest standing skydiving league in the country.

Did you know that a small 4-way meet exposes a big flaw in the tie-breaking rules? posted: Jun 25th, 2016 The June meet of the Virginia Parachute Council was only a small event with four teams. However, it included an exciting and very interesting battle for the 2nd place behind winner Suffolk Sabotage.
Where's Chris? and Sister Wives ended up tied after their five rounds, and Where's Chris? was declared the team in 2nd place of the VPC meet, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on June 22nd.
VPC Director John Meyer had applied the current USPA/FAI rules for a tie-breaking situation, and the battle of his two AA Class teams exposed a weakness of the current definition.

Did you know that teams in Virginia needed the USPA rulebook to break a tie last weekend? posted: Jun 22nd, 2016 Last weekend's overall leaderboard is complete after the scores from the second 2016 competition of the Virginia Parachute Council were added. All four VPC teams competed in the same category (AA) and ended up behind Z-Hills PreciZion of the Florida Skydiving League.
Suffolk Sabotage stole the highscore for Round 1 from the FSL team, who suffered two point deductions in the same round. Suffolk Sabotage, who also post Indoor Cloud League scores for iFLY Virginia Beach on a regular basis, finished far ahead of the other VPC teams.

Did you know that the Virginia Parachute Council launched its 2016 outdoor season last weekend? posted: Apr 21st, 2016 Scores from iFLY Virginia Beach have been on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard since the beginning of the 2016 season.
It is one 4-way team that has been collecting ICL points each month this year, Suffolk Sabotage, and the 2016 total of 136 points for the first three months is enough to maintain the 8th place out of ten currently participating ICL teams.

Did you know that V Shock won the internal Virginia DZ showdown last weekend? posted: Jul 16th, 2014 A total of 56 teams are currently ranked on last weekend's overall leaderboard, which is not complete yet. The Midwest Skydiving League had a busy meet at Chicagoland Skydiving, and the scores will be added soon.
Most of the teams competed at Langar in the United Kingdom (26) and in Maubeuge, France (26), and the Sun Path Products NSL News will soon follow up with additional information of those events. Two of the five meets last weekend were smaller ones of the Virginia Parachute Council at Skydive Suffolk and of the Carolina Skydiving League at Triangle Skydiving.
