News Article Have you heard that the Virginia Parachute Council's last 4-way recruiting event was successful??
posted: Oct 6th, 2009 posted Oct 7th, 2009 - The Virginia Parachute Council hosted another 4-way camp at Skydive the Point in West Point VA on 4 October 2009. The free event targeted skydivers of all skill levels interested in 4-way Formation Skydiving, and had a good turnout despite rescheduling to the rain date. The organizers are using NSL dive pools for the camps to add realism and rigor to the training. VPC and Skydive the Point intend to continue these events in the future, and encourage all interested in participating to come out and enjoy some great 4-way training and coaching. posted: Sep 20th, 2009 The Virginia Parachute Council will be hosting another 4-way Scrambles event at Skydive the Point in West Point VA on 3 October 2009. The event is targeted at skydivers of all skill levels interested in 4-way Formation Skydiving. Registration is FREE. Contact John Meyer at by e-mail if you are interested in participating as a team member, team captain, or on camera. Rain date is 4 October 2009. If the entire weekend is a wash, VPC will look to re-schedule the event to the 2nd or 3rd weekend in October. (more)
News Article Have you heard that the Virginia Parachute Council supports a 4-way recruiting project?
posted: Jul 7th, 2009 VPC host Skydive the Point in West Point is now hosting a monthly player-coach training camp for anyone who is interested in 4-way Formation Skydiving. The skydiving club is scheduling these events to encourage and nurture new skydivers who want to improve their 4-way skills. The first of these events in 2009 was held on July 4th. Twelve participants signed up to jump with seasoned 4-way competitors in a format used at the popular "scrambles" events. News Article Have you heard that DC3 won the VPC Championship 2006?
posted: Oct 18th, 2006 Two more events wrapped up the regular 2006 season, one competition in Brazil, the other one in Virginia. The remaining two events on the NSL Calendar of Events are the USPA Nationals 2006 and the NSL Championship 2006. The event in Eloy will be brought to the audience under NSL News Special Events coverage, while the NSL Championship is a part of SkyQuest 2006. The Virginia Parachute Council held its final competition of the 2006 season at Skydive Orange, Inc on Oct 8th. News Article Have you heard that two teams re-started the Virginia Parachute Coucil last weekend?
posted: Aug 15th, 2006 Most of the attention has recently been on the World Meet 2006 in Germany last week and currently on the Malevsky Cup 2006 in Russia. However, other competitions took place last weekend in Virginia, Texas and Finland. Great Britain also holds the national championships this week. News Article Have you heard that new results of the NSL SkyVenture Orlando Competition are posted?
posted: Aug 18th, 2005 The NSL News slowly catches up with the results of the NSL SkyVenture Orlando Competition. The results of the May 21 weekend are still missing, however, the scores of all other meet weekends until July 16 have now been calculated. The July 9 weekend was not very difficult for the calculator. Only the AA Class teams of the Colorado Skydiving League competed that weekend. The CSL highscorer, Air Force LOC, went into the meet with the benchmark handicap of 1.00 and also finished the competition with the highest raw average of 9.7 after six rounds.
