News Article Did you know that a new NSL Talk with Airspeed followed a 16-way fun jump?
posted: Feb 23rd, 2010 The NSL News is going back to the coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2010. There is still more footage waiting to be processed and uploaded. Today it is time for the latest NSL Talk with Arizona Airspeed, which took place in Eloy after the world champions had completed their 10-round meet on Sunday. The infamous Round 10 was one of the topics of the discussion, of course. All ten competition jumps were already featured with the NSL News story on 14 February 2010, including the slowest sequence of Round 10 (4-21-20). (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 10 ate Airspeed for lunch??
posted: Feb 16th, 2010 The next part of the video clips that feature Arizona Airspeed's Round 10 at the Valentine's Meet 2010 begins where the last one had ended. The teams have to ride a trailer truck to get to the boarding area at Skydive Arizona, and the NSL News camera joined the teams on the way. Airspeed added another dirtdive to the final preparations and then waited for the jump plane, together with the Dutch/Belgian team 4XTT. There was another incidence that caused some trouble right before boarding the Twin Otter. Airspeed's Center Inside Andy Delk discovered that he had a serious problem with his bootie.... (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL-TV camera followed Airspeed on the path to Round 10?
posted: Feb 15th, 2010 Arizona Airspeed's competition videos at the Valentine's Meet 2010 have already been uploaded with yesterday's story from Eloy. The NSL News continued to collect footage on the only day live at Skydive Arizona, due to the travel problems. After returning to the NSL office in DeLand it is time now to follow up with stories and footage. The first NSL-TV video clip leads into Airspeed's preparations for Round 10, the jump that stopped the streak of consecutive Airspeed scores of 20 points or higher. Airspeed added nine more rounds to the 26 jumps after the Dubai Championship. The Airspeed record... (more)
News Article Did you know that the sequence of Round 10 ended Airspeed's 20-point streak?
posted: Feb 14th, 2010 It is time to catch up with the coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2010. It was a very challenging agenda for the NSL News due to the complications with the itinerary, as the previews of the event explained earlier. The 6-round meet on Saturday was already completed when the NSL News arrived at Skydive Arizona, and posting the scores was all that could be done yesterday. The Sunday was mostly dedicated to collecting as much footage and information as possible of both days. The coverage now begins with the most important thing, Arizona Airspeed's competition videos of all ten rounds. There was... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed will eat the sequence of Round 10 for breakfast?
posted: Feb 12th, 2010 The competition draw has been handed out at the Valentine's Meet 2010 in Eloy, and it has now also popped up on the NSL front page. It is on the faster side, as two of the slower moves, Block 12 (Bundy - Bundy) and Block 14 (Bipole - Bipole), would only come in Round 11. The Valentine's Meet is scheduled for ten rounds in the AAA/Open Class competition. (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL News got stuck in bad weather?
posted: Feb 12th, 2010 Bad weather does not only have its impact on the actual skydiving events. The NSL News had a false start with the coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2010 this morning. The travel itinerary included a stop in Atlanta, Georgia. It turned out that this became an unfortunate obstacle, as the big weather system on top of the southeast of the USA dumped a lot of rain and snow on Georgia and Florida. The NSL News never even had a chance. The airline had already canceled today's flight to Phoenix and moved NSL News reporter Kurt Gaebel to the same flight tomorrow before he had even arrived at the... (more)
