Did you know that the Northern Plains Skydiving League had a tough start into the 2008 season? posted: May 15th, 2008 The Northern Plains Skydiving League launched its 2008 season last weekend. At least, NPSL Director Sandy Grillet tried everything he could to get the NPSL 2008 season started. The weather forecast was not very promising for the region, and a few teams decided not even to try.
The weather lived up to the bad expectations. However, six teams still made it to Skydive Iowa and all managed to complete one round, two teams even two rounds.

Did you know that Russian 4-way teams keep pushing upwards? posted: May 13th, 2008 Several NSL News stories have already mentioned the Russian teams and their situation in the national race for the ticket to France. The latest update from Russia on 9 May 2008 covered the situation in the female 4-way category.
It is no surprise that the NSL News goes back to news from Russia on a regular basis. Russia has been one of the powerhouses in Formation Skydiving competition for decades. The 8-way success of the early years prepared the foundation for Russia to bring up 4-way teams to the world's top level, as well. (more)
Did you know that two teams from the Netherlands had their own competition in DeLand? posted: May 12th, 2008 The videos of Round 5 of the FSL April meet have been added to the NSL-TV coverage of the competition in DeLand. It was the last round for the Florida Skydiving League teams before a weather system interrupted the skydiving operation for too long, and the meet was called after five rounds.
Norway's national 4-way team Arcteryx, with Thomas Hughes filling Ole Petter Hjelle's Tail slot, finally added some distance to the 2-point lead over Canada Evolution after four rounds and three tied 22-pointers. Did you know that a new NSL-TV video shows Team Future in 4-way and freeflying? posted: May 12th, 2008 The NSL News story on 29 February 2008 was one of the several previews of the World Challenge 2008. The article covered the kids and teenagers who would compete at the windtunnel competition in Bedford.
The NSL News later followed up with a story that was posted during the event and brought Team Aeon's and Ellie McCoy's 20.5 average after six rounds to the attention of the NSL News audience. The story on 30 March 2008 wrapped up Aeon's performance at the World Challenge 2008 so far. (more)
Did you know that Russia will have a new female lineup this year? posted: May 9th, 2008 The NSL News story on 4 May 2008 covered the current situation in the female 4-way category. The article mentioned that there was still a questionmark behind the reigning bronze medalist of 2006, Russia.
The Russian bronze medalist of the World Championship 2006 was Ladybirds (Elena Mazaeva, Anna Panasyuk, Larisa Sverdlenko, Ekaterina Voronina) with a 14.6 average after five rounds in Germany.
