News Article Did you know that last weekend's MWSL meet was on a regional record level?
posted: Jul 26th, 2007 The 2007 season has been the toughest in many years for the Midwest Skydiving League as well as its teams. The weather in the Midwest has not been very friendly to skydivers, with plenty of windy and cloudy weekends. But fortunately, this past weekend brought three days of absolutely perfect jumping weather. The turnout for Meet 3 was still a bit light by recent MWSL standards, but the overall skill level was probably the highest ever. Five teams were at Chicagoland Skydiving Saturday morning, four of whom would be competing in their first MWSL meet of 2007. As an extra bonus for the teams,... (more)

At the same time, a growing number of teams and competitors seem to attend the meets just to have a lot of fun for one day every month. In addition, the growing number of high-profile competitions bring some extra spice and excitement to the normal league and meet operation mostly in the USA and in Europe. News Article Did you know that teams from Sweden had the top spots in two classes last weekend?
posted: Jul 25th, 2007 Last weekend's leaderboard is almost complete, only the scores from Virginia are still missing. The Northwest Skydiving League had bad weather luck once again. The first NWSL meet of the 2007 season in June was already weathered out, and it wasn't much different last weekend in Oregon. NWSL Director Harry Waller has learned to take it easy over the years: "Sorry, no scores and meet pictures from here, unfortunately everyone has seen rain before and once again last weekend." He reported that there were beautiful blue skies on the Friday before the meet and began with the last preparations... (more)

posted: Jul 24th, 2007 The July meet of the Florida Skydiving League was the 5th competition for the FSL teams so far this year, and it attracted once again six teams to Skydive DeLand on a hot summer day. Even the same two line-ups from Skydive Miami in Homestead, which both competed in June in DeLand, made the same trip last weekend. ZT Mal4mations has attended each FSL meet this year and copied the 5.7 average of the June meet, while their Miami Vice friends improved the meet average from 3.2 to 3.6 in the Rookie Class. Javier Aguerrevere (Tail), Shiva Krovi (Point) and Pedro Diaz Pow Sang (Center Outside) seem... (more)
