posted: Mar 23rd, 2007 Round 3 of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 had quite an impact on the whole competition in many ways. It was the last of the first three rounds that determine the average for each team's handicap in the AAA Class. The NSL Shugar/O'Connor Handicap system was applied for the prizes of the the Shamrock Showdown's Skins Game. Cash and prizes were assigned to each round, and only the winner after handicap was rewarded. The scoring average after each round was the main factor for the handicap, which was adjusted after each round. The scoring averages after the first three rounds provided the numbers... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey will attend the third meet in three months at the World Challenge 2007?
posted: Mar 22nd, 2007 The FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 is over, the review is already in full swing, and the NSL News prepares for the next live event coverage. The World Challenge 2007 at the Bodyflight Bedford wind tunnel in Great Britain is listed as the next event on the NSL Schedule of Events. The NSL News will report live from the competition site. The World Challenge 2007 will already be the third competition this year for Airspeed Odyssey, the defending champion of last year's competition in Bedford. Odyssey's team captain Craig Girard mentioned earlier that his team plans to compete more regularly this year.... (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 2 of the Shamrock Showdown comes with a live Fastrax Blue interview?
posted: Mar 21st, 2007 The all-female Fastrax Blue line-up caught the NSL News attention for the first time on 28 December 2006 (Archives > 2006 > News). The team was formed at the end of the 2006 season, and the NSL News story introduced the members of the new line-up. The preview of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 on 11 March 2007 confirmed that Fastrax Blue would attend the team's first competition with the new line-up in DeLand last weekend. News Article Did you know that the top scores at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 set a new record?
posted: Mar 20th, 2007 The NSL-TV coverage of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 begins much earlier compared to the Valentine's Meet 2007. It was obviously easier to get access to the videos since the meet took place at the home location of the NSL headquarters in DeLand. Still nothing is perfect, and a few videos are missing of the first round. They will be added later. The dust has settled, and the scores have been out there for a few days already. News Article Did you know that the Shamrock Showdown teams were falling in style?
posted: Mar 19th, 2007 The DeLand Beacon had launched the media coverage of the Shamrock Showdown with a preview last week. The Orlando Sentinel covered the Shamrock Showdown competition action on Saturday with an article that featured Fastrax Blue, while News Channel 13 captured a few scenes and interviews for the local TV station. The Daytona Beach News-Journal finally followed up today with a beautiful freefall image of Team Fastrax on the front page and a brief announcement of the winner, Airspeed Odyssey. (more)

posted: Mar 18th, 2007 The scores of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 speak for themselves. The Golden Knights ended up in 3rd place with a 22.2 meet average after ten rounds, and it was not a fast competition draw in DeLand at all. (more)
