News Article Did you know that the best skydiving jokes and funny stories will be rewarded with free NSL Gloves?
posted: Apr 1st, 2007 The NSL News is usually a quite serious affair. Goal is to provide accurate and up-to-date information, which is based on facts, numbers, interviews, videos and feedback coming in through all kinds of communication tools. It is also the information center for the network of 4-way competition leagues and Formation Skydiving events. Once in a while, the NSL News stories are made of information that lets the visitor probably smile or even laugh. However, the purpose of the NSL website's information service is not really to amuse the audience. Humor and fun is still one of the biggest components... (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 6 was the roughest round of the competition?
posted: Mar 30th, 2007 Round 6 of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 was the roughest round of the competition. Round 1 had only a total of three infringements, Round 3 had four formations that didn't count. Rounds 2, 4 and 5 were totally clean. Then came the sequence of Round 6 (M-13-17), which kept event judge Pete Allum very busy. He found a total of nine infringements in 15 competition jumps. The NSL-TV audience is once again invited to check the meet videos for these rough spots. Team Elan was busy preparing for the 2007 season in the meantime, and the efforts... (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 5 was the turning point of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007?
posted: Mar 28th, 2007 Airspeed Odyssey apparently likes Block 14 (Bipole - Bipole) and picks up speed and scoring points when the sequence requires a lot of individual flying. Round 5 (H-14-L-P) of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 was very similar to Round 8 (14-9-C) at the Valentine's Meet 2007. The scores were similar, as well (27 - 26). The 27-pointer in DeLand also had a similar impact compared to the 26-pointer in Eloy. Airspeed added three points distance to France Maubeuge with the score of Round 8 in February. The 27-pointer of Round 5 in DeLand won two points over the Golden Knights and turned the 1-point... (more)
