Did you know that Perris Momentum had bad luck with weather in California and Florida? posted: Oct 27th, 2007 The teams at the NSL Championship 2007 have not had much luck with the weather yet. Friday afternoon and Saturday went by without any skydiving activities in DeLand so far.
One of the three teams from California, Perris Momentum, was troubled by bad weather conditions even twice.
Two of the original team members, Tom Brotherton and Nate Halprin, were already on the way to Florida when the wild fires in California threatened their homes, and they had to cancel the trip to the east coast. (more)
Did you know that Mattias Nord is the new Center Inside for Arcteryx? posted: Oct 25th, 2007 Norway's national 4-way team, Arcteryx, has been covered by the NSL News many times ever since the team was founded in 2004. It was already a challenging task for the original Arcteryx line-up (Ditta Valsdottir, Ole Petter Hjelle, Oyvind Buer, Tore Buer) to fill the space of the retired DeLand Norgies (Lise Aune, Carl-Erik Tuv, Torstein Valen, Pal Kolbenstvedt).
The DeLand Norgies were a world-class team and challenged the very top positions at each international meet between 1998 and 2003. They consecutively won bronze medals for Norway at three World Championships of Formation Skydiving (Australia... (more)

Did you know that Mr. Pink had a re-union this month? posted: Oct 23rd, 2007 It has been quite a while since Mr. Pink, a 4-way team from Georgia, was mentioned the last time by the NSL News. The story on January 18 did not even cover any team activities this year. It just provided a review of the history of the Georgia Skydiving League. Mr. Pink is a part of the GSL history, as the story explains.
However, the last time that Mr. Pink competed with a complete line-up was at the NSL Championship 2003. GSL co-founder Glen Hauenstein, Mike Gruwell, Jennifer Gruwell and Robert May won the NSL bronze medals at SkyQuest 2003 with a 12.2 average. DeLand Majik won the NSL Shugar... (more)

HayaBusa Defence's Center Outside, David Grauwels, had made the above statement after Round 5 when his team had just lost a comfortable 3-point lead to the Golden Knights. He eventually got everything that he wanted, but it didn't come easily.
The Belgian team won the next round by one point and posted a new CISM world record with the 41-pointer in Round 7. However, even the new world record was not enough to shake off the Golden Knights. The meet was not over yet. The US Army team scored a 40-pointer... (more)
