Did you know that new NSL-TV videos feature teams from Sweden, UK and Ireland? posted: Jun 19th, 2008 The Russian Nationals 2008 are still on a hold after four rounds, and NSL-TV goes back to the May 31 and June 7 meet weekends in the meantime. Both events offered the opportunity to watch videos of two more national teams.
The first competition in Sweden this year on May 31 brought the attention back to a Swedish team that was introduced by the NSL News on 13 February 2008. Blue Spirits had competed at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008 and opened the 2008 season with a 13.1 average after ten rounds in DeLand. Did you know that Sky Panthers and Joggy Bussi are holding the top positions in Russia? posted: Jun 18th, 2008 The Russian Nationals 2008 are in full swing, and three teams are standing above a 23-point average level after four rounds. However, it seems as if Sky Panthers have already secured the top position, which would once again qualify Michail Kuznetsov, Vladimir Pavlenko, Oleg Shalamykhin, Sergej Shenin and Andrey Seliverstov as the Russian national team for the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2008.
The Sky Panthers have already distanced themselves from Black Cat by ten points after the first four rounds, and it will be very difficult for the reigning Russian 4-way champions to catch... (more)
Did you know that the Russian Nationals 2008 have begun in Puschino? posted: Jun 17th, 2008 The NSL News has mentioned the Russian Nationals 2008 several times this year, as it is the qualification event for this year's World Championship of Formation Skydiving. It was scheduled for this week to give the winning team enough time to prepare for the World Meet in France.
The competition began today, and a total of 13 teams have signed up for the AAA/Open Class, including all the teams that are aiming at the Russian tickets to France. Did you know that a hybrid meet in Eloy included a family affair? posted: Jun 17th, 2008 The Arizona Skydiving League, run by the AZ Divewerkz members, had to improvise last weekend to get the six rounds of the meet in Eloy completed. Annie Peterson reported that the participants had a good meet despite some initial delays and issues:
"First, one participant had a reserve after a nasty opening in Round 1. We weren't able to continue right away with the next round. Then, halfway through Round 2, we missed a videographer. Did you know that Dennis Rook has joined Mass Defiance for the 2008 season? posted: Jun 16th, 2008 The Paraclete XP Money Meet 2008, coming up this weekend in Raeford, brings back together the best 4-way teams of the country and has an international flair this year, as well. The NSL News story on 16 May 2008 had already provided an overview of the field.
The meet will also feature a reunion of the New England Skydiving League team Mass Defiance. Team speaker Ben Liston recently updated the NSL News on the team's activities this year.

Did you know that UK team Wingnutz entered the third competition class in three years? posted: Jun 13th, 2008 The NSL News story on 9 June 2008 covered last weekend's competition of the United Kingdom Skydiving League (UKSL) in Netheravon. The first part of the story provided an update of Satori's current situation before additional information of the meet was provided by Chris Hollis, Formation Skydiving representative for the British Parachute Association (BPA).
Videos of the UKSL competition followed the meet information, kindly provided by CamScore, the DZ-TV and judging system that has also covered the World Challenge 2008.
