News Article Did you know that DC3 completed the team's first 10-round meet at SkyQuest 2006?
posted: Jan 24th, 2007 Round 4 of the NSL Championship 2006 has now been added to the NSL-TV page. The videos of all competition jumps that have been posted so far can be viewed at the 4-way page of the SkyQuest website. The AAA Class competition between Optic Nerve, Teiwaz Lake Wales and Italy's Fast + Furious continued in a very similar way compared to the earlier rounds. Teiwaz had recovered from the exit troubles in Round 3 and tied Optic Nerve's 16-pointer. However, Dr. Shugar's team was now five points ahead and maintained the lead. (more)
News Article Did you know that a Norwegian world class Freeflyer is the new Arcteryx Point?
posted: Jan 23rd, 2007 The NSL News published the last update from Norway on September 2, 2006. It covered last year's national championship and wrapped up the 2006 skydiving season for the Scandinavian country, which has produced world class 4-way teams and competitors for decades. The name of the current Norwegian national 4-way team, Arcteryx, is not new to the NSL News audience. The performance and progress of the team was covered on a regular basis ever since the new line-up was put together at the end of the 2003 season. News Article Did you know that selection rounds, semi-final and final rounds are under scrutiny?
posted: Jan 19th, 2007 The NSL News story on January 15 covered the Formation Skydiving Committee's agenda at the upcoming meeting of the International Parachuting Commission (IPC) in Florence, Italy. The topics don't indicate the discussion of any complicated issues. However, there was one topic that caused a lot of trouble at last year's World Meet 2006 in Germany. News Article Did you know that a new management has new plans for the 2007 season in Georgia?
posted: Jan 18th, 2007 The new year brings new competition and event schedules for the NSL affiliated leagues. The NSL News will publish updates with new information of each league whenever the planning phase has been completed. The Georgia Skydiving League is one of the oldest leagues in the country and launched its first season in the summer of 1997, together with the Texas Skydiving League. Florida, Georgia and Texas then joined forces and formed the National Skydiving League in 1998. The NSL website began to publish GSL information in 1998. posted: Jan 16th, 2007 The NSL News story on 1 November 2006 had provided the last update from France. National coach and team manager Jerome David commented the World Meet 2006 from the French perspective. He also mentioned that the selection process for the new French Formation Skydiving delegation had not been completed by then. The NSL News promised to follow up as soon as new information would be available. Jerome David now took the time to provide an update before he leaves France to attend the IPC meeting in Italy. News Article Did you know that IPC's Formation Skydiving Committee meets in Italy this year?
posted: Jan 15th, 2007 The delegates of all national parachuting associations will travel to Italy this year for the 58th annual meeting of the International Parachuting Commission (IPC). President Patrice Girardin from France will open the meeting in Florence on January 23 and close it on January 28. The annual IPC meeting includes workshops of several IPC Committees and Working Groups. Each skydiving discipline has its own committee, and the Formation Skydiving Committee consists of four members and four advisors.
