posted: Apr 8th, 2008 Four new NSL-TV videos of the World Challenge 2008 feature an exciting situation in the race between Airspeed Odyssey and XL. Round 5 was the last one on Saturday afternoon, and Round 6 was the beginning of the second meet day Sunday morning. XL finished the day with another sole highscore and extended the lead over Airspeed to two points in Round 5. Three XL members (Pete Allum, Steve Hamilton, Brian Johnson) were now in the same situation as at the World Challenge 2007. News Article Did you know that Slipstream launches a new team project in the Northern Plans?
posted: Apr 7th, 2008 A new team project, Slipstream, has been launched in the Northern Plains Skydiving League. The team members are familiar names from the last seven years in the NPSL. Steve Blake (Point), Aaron Hislop (Center Inside), Jon Arnold (Tail), Bill Rehm (Center Outside) and Rich Barr (Camera) are combining for over 12,000 skydives and 75 years of experience and plan for a fun and productive 4-way season. The team's goals are to take a combination of very compatible and talented skydivers from the NPSL area and push the local limits of 4-way throughout the NPSL 2008 season - ending with the USPA Nationals... Today's story follows the amazing race between Airspeed Odyssey and XL. posted: Apr 4th, 2008 The NSL News story on 2 April 2008 evaluated the situation of the FAI World Cup champion of 2007, Hayabusa Defence, after competing at the World Challenge 2008 last weekend. The story mentioned that the Belgian top contender had hired Airspeed Odyssey's Craig Girard as the coach for a training camp in Eloy in March. Many people were asking the same question when those plans were made: why would one top contender for this year's medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving help another top contender with valuable information and insights? News Article Did you know that Carolina Windfall returns in the Rookie Class?
posted: Apr 3rd, 2008 "All rookies - no ringers" is the motto that a Rookie Class team of the Carolina Skydiving League is proud of. Carolina Windfall joined the 4-way competition of the Carolina Skydiving League's Rookie Class in June 2006. The team already attended the Paraclete XP tunnel competitionin February and now prepares for its second CASL season. The Windfall members already loved 4-way when they met and then learned the difficulties of bringing four athletes together who share the same passion, goals and commitment level. posted: Apr 2nd, 2008 Two national teams, which are expected to be medal contenders at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving this year in France and did not compete at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008, attended the World Challenge 2008: Norway's team Arcteryx and Hayabusa Defence from Belgium.
