Did you know that Ritz - Icepick can be painful? posted: Jul 31st, 2007 The NSL News goes back to the July 21 meet weekend. One of the eleven events that weekend was the Danish Nationals 2007. The situation in Denmark had an interesting aspect since the new official national 4-way team, Danish Blaze, had to take on the former national team, the DaneZ.
Rene Andreasen, Jesper Rasmussen, Jess Romer and Mikael Toft had represented Denmark until the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 in Germany, where this line-up finished with an 18.0 average. The DaneZ had set new highscore records for Denmark during the team's competition career.

Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey's Raeford story had a happy end? posted: Jul 29th, 2007 The Grande Finale at the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2007 was just as exciting as the situation after Round 9 promised. Did you know that the Golden Knights spoiled Craig Girard's birthday party in Round 9? posted: Jul 29th, 2007 It is obviously no news that the Golden Knights have been giving Airspeed Odyssey a very hard time throughout the seven rounds of the first day at the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2007. Nothing changed in the first round on Sunday morning. The two top teams tied their scores once again and for the fourth consecutive round.
The course of the AAA Class competition then changed dramatically in Round 9. The Golden Knights seemed to put all available energy into the second last round and spoiled Craig Girard's birthday party on Sunday with a 35-pointer that won the round by three points over Airspeed.

Team M.O.M. dominated the field of five teams in the Rookie Class and tokk the first place with a 3.8 average after four rounds. All jumps of the Rookie Class competition were made from the Pac, and the exits were probably the biggest challenge for the teams.
Five other teams from North and South Carolina competed in the AA Class competition. Carolina Fire and Fast Fockers battled it out for the CASL gold medals over... (more)
Did you know that the Golden Knights won a point and $500 extra cash in Round 4? posted: Jul 28th, 2007 The scores of Round 3 don't show an overwhelming dominance of Airspeed Odyssey any longer. The Arizona team still completed the highest number of points in working time. However, the judges deducted another point, and the 21-pointer was tied by the Golden Knights.
Not only the Golden Knights kept up with Airspeed Odyssey in this round. The new French national 4-way team, France VR 4, scored a 21-pointer in this round, as well. The new A-Team line-up is still only in second place after five rounds in France. The B-Team with Paul "Polo" Grisoni and Erwan Pouliquen has a 3-point lead at the moment.

Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey lost a point in Round 2? posted: Jul 28th, 2007 The scores of Round 1 are posted, and Airspeed Odyssey continued in Raeford as the team's performance ended in Russia. The 20-pointer for the slowest round of the meet is in the books, Airspeed is on its way to exhibit another meet result on the team's new scoring level.
It would be a new statement if Airspeed can get to a 24-25 average level in this meet. The previous record scores on this level always included sequences with only random formations, which boosted the averages to a record level. This time, all AAA Class teams don't have the benefit of an extremely fast round. It doesn't seem... (more)
