News Article Did you know that the Czech Republic already shows great scoring progression?
posted: May 30th, 2006 Last weekend's competition also included the first meet of the 2006 season in the Czech Republic. League Director Jan Klapka reported that the weather forecast sounded as bad as it was for Finland and Belgium. These two events were completely weathered out. However, the teams in the Czech Republic surprisingly completed all six rounds of the competition. The results of the 15 teams from Denmark (9) and the Czech Republic (6) are already posted, and the complete leaderboard of all events last weekend only misses the scores of the Northern Plains Skydiving League. News Article Did you know that Formation Skydiving competition shows an upswing at the World Meet 2006?
posted: May 30th, 2006 Three additional teams were recently registered for the World Meet 2006. Spain with one team in the 4-way Open Class and one team in the 4-way Women's Class, plus a 4-way Open Class team from Estonia bring the total number of teams to 45. These 45 teams were registered by a total of 25 nations at this point. There are still three weeks left until the final registration deadline, and the participation may still increase. (more)
News Article Did you know that Belgium was weathered out and Denmark completed eight rounds?
posted: May 27th, 2006 Five competitions are listed on the NSL Calendar of Events for this weekend, four events in Europe and the second attempt of the Northern Plains Skydiving League to kick off the 2006 season. One European event has to be taken off the list already by now. There will be no scores coming from Belgium this weekend. The Belgian Nationals 2006 and scond meet of the Belgian Skydiving Trophy have been completely weathered out, there was no competition at all in 4-way. News Article Did you know that the new round of NSL-TV features teams from Brazil and Florida?
posted: May 26th, 2006 New NSL-TV videos have been uploaded while the first scores from Denmark came in. The national team for the World Meet 2006, the DaneZ, continue on the high performance level where they finished after the ten rounds of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2006. The "DFU Open" in Denmark is only two rounds old at this point. However, the scores of these two rounds already indicate that the DaneZ are once again in great shape. The new round of NSL-TV covers two meets, the May meets of the Brazilian Skydiving League and the Florida Skydiving League, which took place at two different weekends. (more)
News Article Did you know that the Mideast Skydiving League had a slow start into the 2006 season?
posted: May 25th, 2006 Last weekend's smallest meet was the season opener of the Mideast Skydiving League. MESL Director Randy Connell and the new MESL Communications Director Ed Lightle were both surprised when only two teams showed up at Skydive Greene County in Ohio on Saturday morning. The first MESL meet of the 2005 season was held on the same May weekend, and seven teams had attended the first competition of the year by then. News Article Did you know that the field of teams for the World Meet 2006 is almost complete?
posted: May 24th, 2006 The official registration deadline for any National Aero Club to provide the "Preliminary Entry Form" for the World Meet 2006 is 75 days before the start of the competition. This means that May 22 closed the door for any teams that have not been pre-registered at this point. The "Official Entry Form" and the payment of registration fees must reach the organizer at least 45 days before the competition starts, which is June 21 this year.
