Did you know that both New England teams posted record scores last weekend? posted: Jun 13th, 2007 The slowest meet weekend of the 2007 season followed the record weekend of June 2. Only the New England Skydiving League completed a competition last weekend. The Northwest Skydiving League competition was weathered out, and two teams managed to beat the weather on the east coast with six jumps at Skydive New England.
However, the results of these two NESL teams were still interesting enough. One of the two teams was Mass Defiance, USPA's Advanced Class champion of 2005. Mass Defiance members Ben Liston and Brian Stephens have also taken over the league management in New England this year and... (more)
Did you know that the Italian teams prepare for this year's national championship? posted: Jun 12th, 2007 Livio Piccolo has been flying the Point position for Italy's national 4-way team Sinapsi PD for several years.
His team won the bronze medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 in Germany and then decided to take a break throughout the 2007 season. (more)
Did you know that the NWSL 2007 season opener was weathered out? posted: Jun 11th, 2007 The first information from last weekend's three scheduled meets did not include any scores. Northwest Skydiving League Director Harry Waller informed the NSL News that the event was weathered out.
The Friday before the competition offered perfect weather with beautiful blue skies at Skydive Oregon. Harry Waller reported that the last preparations for the meet included only logistics: "A few calls about video and babysitters, plus some last-minute pick-up teams."

Did you know that the Midwest skydiving season had a slow start? posted: Jun 10th, 2007 The 2007 season opener of the Midwest Skydiving League was a part of the record meet weekend on June 2 - 3 where a total of 74 teams were listed on the NSL leaderboard. However, the MWSL meet turned out to be below expectations, as MWSL Director Alan Butt reported a slow start into the new Midwest skydiving season in general. (more)
Did you know that 4-way is as popular as ever in Great Britain? posted: Jun 9th, 2007 The actual meet story wraps up the coverage of the second UK Grand Prix competition of the 2007 season on June 2, while teams from New England, Northwest and Texas are already in full swing this weekend. It's the season opener in the Northwest and in Texas, the New England Skydiving League holds its second meet of the 2007 season. This time, Mass Defiance plans to put the team's own first 2007 scores on the leaderboard. Did you know that Team Spaï takes the top position in Sweden after the first meet? posted: Jun 8th, 2007 Last weekend's competition also included the season opener of the Swedish 4-way cup series. Seven teams competed in the Scandinavian country and completed six rounds, five teams in the AAA Class and two teams in the A Class.
The field of AAA Class teams included last year's Swedish top contender, Team Spaï, which came back from the 2006 season with exactly the same line-up: Tobias Alsiö (Center Outside), Mikael Kaulanen (Point), Ulf Liljenbäck (Center Inside), Mats Svensson (Tail), Daniel Åström (Camera). (more)
