Did you know that Hurricane Ivan might be too slow to mess around with the NSL Playoffs 2004?
posted: Sep 7th, 2004 The NSL News has to report another outage for a few days. Hurricane Frances hammered DeLand and most of Florida this time. The NSL operation has been "outsourced" for and since the past weekend as most of DeLand still has no electricity. This story comes from somewhere in North Carolina... The 2004 hurricane season still does not let go. The next storm Ivan is already on the way with a similar heading and path as Frances. Did you know that the European Skydiving League competes for "The Spirit" this weekend?
posted: Sep 2nd, 2004 The hurricane season causes more trouble for skydiving this year than ususal. Florida still recovers from hurricane Charley who recently devastated the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales and did not allow the last meet of the Florida Skydiving League to take place under normal conditions. The new hurricane Frances, who approaches Florida on a much too consistent path, is even stronger and bigger than Charley. There is no meet scheduled in Florida for the upcoming weekend. The only NSL competition will take place in the Northern Plains. That is far enough and out of reach for Frances. However,... (more)

Did you know that the new NSL-TV features round three of the last Southwest Skydiving League meet?
posted: Sep 1st, 2004 Due to the technical problems after Mother Nature's assault on Florida and the NSL office, the NSL-TV fell a little bit behind. The Texas Skydiving League coverage has already been updated after the weather break. It was now time to upload the next round of the last Southwest Skydiving League meet, as well. Synchronicity, the U.S. national 4-way team of the Women's Class presents the sequence of the AAA Class competition (J-16-O-19). Did you know that France Maubeuge scored a new world record at the French National Championship 2004?
posted: Aug 31st, 2004 The French national head coach, Jerome David, kindly provided the NSL News with insights after the conclusion of the French National Championship 2004. The event took place on July 31 - August 5 in Vannes, France. It included all skydiving disciplines and attracted 39 4-way teams in two different competition classes and seven 8-way teams in the Formation Skydiving events. Did you know that the remaining NSL SkyVenture Competition results of the August 14 and 21 weekends are posted?
posted: Aug 30th, 2004 The August 14 weekend had teams from Florida, Virginia, the Northwest and Midwest competing. It was hurricane Charley's weekend in Florida, and only DeLand Scape managed to complete two rounds on a vacated drop zone in DeLand after the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales was severely damaged. The teams in Virginia could also complete only two rounds, which left the SkyVenture tunnel time available only for the eligible teams from the Northwest and Midwest. (more)

Did you know that Sinapsi PD scored 20.7 at the Italian Championship 2004?
posted: Aug 30th, 2004 13 teams attended the Italian Championship 2004 in the Intermediate 4-way class, while 10 teams competed in the Open Class. The names of the winning teams are familiar ones. The winner of the Intermediate Class competition, Fast & Furious, competed as a guest team at the NSL 4-way competition of SkyQuest 2003. F&F finished with a 6.8 average at Fantasy of Flight last November and took the first place in Italy in August with an 11.2 average. It was no surprise that Sinapsi PD won the Open Class competition. The 20.7 average after ten rounds indicates that Sinapsi PD is recovering after a disappointing... (more)
