Did you know that DeLand Fire and PD Factory Team members are "Skydivers of the Year 2005"? posted: Feb 24th, 2006 DeLand Fire members Shannon Pilcher and Ian Bobo were recently selected by the readership of the Skydiving Magazine as the "Skydivers of the Year 2005". Editor Mike Truffer has offered this feature for several years, and it was the first time that two skydivers were honored together.
This is no surprise since it is difficult to imagine Shannon Pilcher and Ian Bobo not doing their skydiving projects together. Did you know that Perris Synchronicity explains the 2006 team plans for the NSL News? posted: Feb 23rd, 2006 The NSL News covered the recent decision of Perris Synchronicity not to compete at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 with a story on February 14th. The topic remained alive since the story was posted, and this update offers the current status.
The USPA Meeting last weekend in Phoenix included the confirmation of Team Select as the official national US team in the Women's event for this year's World Meet in Germany. The USPA Competition Committee also confirmed that Synchronicity is eligible to compete at the Malevsky Cyp 2006, an IPC event of the 1st category.

Did you know that MWSL team Evas Revenge enjoyed the meet atmosphere in Eloy? posted: Feb 22nd, 2006 The NSL News has already covered the performance of the three top teams in the Open/AAA Class at the SSL Valentine's Meet 2006, and an interview with Team Fastrax after the competition can still be viewed on NSL-TV. The NSL News continues the meet coverage with information of the other teams that competed in Eloy last weekend.

Did you know that the Golden Knights will compete regularly this year? posted: Feb 21st, 2006 Several observers of the SSL Valentine's Meet 2006 action, including teams and competitors on site in Eloy, were wondering why the Golden Knights did not show up for the meet. It was the first time in many years that the Golden Knights did not interrupt the team's winter training in Arizona to compete at the Valentine's Meet.
The Golden Knights are currently training in Yuma, which is located approx. 200 miles from Eloy. Brian Krause, the new team captain, made the effort to travel from Yuma to Eloy, together with team videographer Larry Miller, and met with the NSL News on Saturday to explain... (more)
Did you know that the NSL interview with Team Fastrax offers insights after the meet? posted: Feb 20th, 2006 The NSL News mentioned earlier that an interview with Team Fastrax was in the works after the completion of the SSL Valentine's Meet 2006. Fastrax had a training day scheduled for Sunday, while Airspeed and Italy competed in 8-way.
The Fastrax day began with a tunnel session at SkyVenture Arizona early in the morning. Training jumps and the completion of the dive pool with the remaining competition jumps after the 6-round meet followed during the day. The NSL News met with all members of the Fastrax 2006 line-up after the last debriefing of the day. (more)
