News Article Did you know that Round 1 shaves a year off your lifetime?
posted: Feb 27th, 2024 Arizona Airspeed has been one of the most reliable NSL News partners in conversation about the sport and the events, the current lineup even more so than previous ones. They feel connected with the Formation Skydiving community by sharing their experiences and feedback with the NSL News audience as well as with the many Airspeed fans. Niklas Hemlin, Mikhail Markine, Christopher Kuhlmann and Joey Marshall are not afraid of being addressed with difficult or critical questions and topics. It was naturally the Airspeed outcome of Round 1 that caught the attention of NSL News and audience. The same... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Shamrock Showdown includes the live Airspeed - Aethers outdoor showdown?
posted: Feb 26th, 2024 The NSL News reported on February 14th that last weekend would feature two popular 4-way competitions that used to offer teams two opportunities to attend attractive and competitive indoor events, one in January, the other one in February. Result of the uncoordinated scheduling was a mixture of teams from different countries exclusively at one event or the other. Teams from nine different European countries and from Qatar competed at the Wind Games, while especially the 8-way competition at Paraclete XP included several competitors from Europe and the Qatar Falcons, as well. None of the plenty... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Qatar teams had different destinations last weekend?
posted: Feb 26th, 2024 The NSL News reported on February 22nd that GKXP8 and Qatar Falcons would have their next match-up at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2024. The ten indoor rounds were completed on Sunday morning, and the outcome of this duel between the two best 8-way teams in the world was as expected. There is still no 8-way team on the planet at the moment that could challenge GKXP8, even though the U.S. 8-way team is currently idling on their own scoring and performance level that nobody else is even close to. The Qatar Falcons are in a similar situation, as they continue on the same level that they... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed have lost three of their last 107 competition rounds?
posted: Feb 24th, 2024 The 4-way teams at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2024 started the first day of the competition before the sunrise in Raeford. Kirk Verner launched the 4-way competition with a roll call for the teams in the meeting tent, and the first four AAA/Open Class teams entered the flying chamber after barely enough preparation time. The competition draw was published on the same Saturday morning, and the teams had to get ready quickly. Arizona Airspeed, Golden Knights and SDC Rhythm XP were together in the second group of teams, and the NSL-TV camera captured the major upset in the first round.... (more)
News Article Did you know that GKXP8 and Qatar Falcons switch back to indoor competition?
posted: Feb 22nd, 2024 The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship was launched as a 4-way indoor competition in 2008, mostly with teams from North Carolina. The Paraclete XP home team won, with Andy Honigbaum, Kirk Verner, John and Tim D'Annunzio in the lineup. There was no 8-way indoor competition in the world at that time, even though the windtunnel in Bedford had enough space with its 16-foot flying chamber. The annual World Challenge was only a 4-way competition, until Paul Mayer added 8-way to the event agenda in 2018. Paraclete XP offered their first 8-way competition as a part of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship beats the Wind Games by ten 4-way teams?
posted: Feb 20th, 2024 The NSL News reported on February 14th that the Wind Games were scheduled for the same weekend that the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship, including the U.S. indoor nationals, has been using for many years. The 2024 event, after the 8-way Hell Week and the following indoor 8-way competition, takes place as usual on the coming weekend, and the 37 teams at Paraclete XP win the participation contest over the 27 teams in Spain. Additional eleven 8-way teams are registered for this year's event in Paraclete XP's 16-foot flying chamber. Both events together combine for a total of 64 teams competing... (more)
