Did you know that Aethers have the head-start this time? posted: Nov 11th, 2024 The first previews of the Shamrock Showdown 2025 indicate another most exciting 4-way competition to come, while it also brings back thoughts of the 2024 season for the French national team in 4-way Open, the Aethers.
It was a turbulent 2024 season for the youngest FAI medalists at the 26th FAI World Formation Skydiving Championships, and the turbulences began literally at the event location of the Shamrock Showdown 2024. The NSL News had to report bad news with the preview on March 12th.

Did you know that the Florida Skydiving League visits Spaceland Clewiston in March? posted: Nov 10th, 2024 The Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Fort Lauderdale completed the two sets of six sequences in September and October with most of the participants at previous events that team members of 4Action have been organizing since January 2024.
The participants of the ICL team in South Florida have not missed any opportunity yet to learn more about 4-way Formation Skydiving competition by either using the three Rookie Class sequences (R - RR - RRR) as an introduction to the sport, or the more technical sequences (A - AA - AAA) as a competition training opportunity for the more dedicated teams. Did you know that the Golden Knights will challenge Arizona Airspeed at the Shamrock Showdown 2025? posted: Nov 9th, 2024 The Golden Knights used to be frequent visitors at Skydive DeLand in Florida for the Shamrock Showdown. They competed at the event every other year between 2003 and 2010. The Shamrock Showdown has mainly been a 4-way competition, only with an extension to 8-way whenever there was interest and secured participation.

Did you know that Fast and Clean became a necessary combination in 2005? posted: Nov 8th, 2024 One of the most significant rule changes in the history of Formation Skydiving competition has been mentioned in NSL News updates and NSL Live Talk many times and has not received enough attention, even though it was and still is the reason for controversial discussion of the topic.
It happened almost two decades ago, and only the competitors or coaches who attended events before 2005 will probably remember the change that impacted the sport until now. Did you know that Sequenz won their next indoor title in Denmark with a team record average? posted: Nov 6th, 2024 Teams in Denmark were next to switch from outdoor training and competition to indoor activities, and the national indoor championship was scheduled for the beginning of the indoor winter season. Once again, the event did not take place in Denmark, even though there is actually an iFLY facility with a 14-foot flying chamber in Denmark's capital city, Copenhagen.

Did you know that Gary Smith followed up with world meet aftermath and foresight? posted: Nov 5th, 2024 Gary Smith is not only a 4-way world champion of 2004 (DeLand Majik) and 2006 (DeLand Fire), after his previous career with South African teams, including 1997 bronze medalists DeLand Equanimity.
He is probably better know now for his most successful coaching career, which brought NMP PCH HayaBusa to the top of the 4-way world, and guided Qatar Falcons and Qatar Tigers to the country's first FAI medals in Formation Skydiving competition.
