News Article Did you know that Jakub Klapka had a tail comeback with Skywalkers Junior?
posted: Dec 17th, 2024 The Czech 4-way teams competed first at the Hurricane Factory in Prague this month, before two of them also completed the next ten indoor rounds of the Flyspot Liga event in Poland. The NSL News covered the performances of the Czech 4-way juniors (Panthers, Eagles) and the additional teams from Poland and Lithuania in the past two days. Skywalkers Junior had traveled to Poland in November for the Flyspot Open 2024 where they defended their AAA Class championship title successfully that they won last year. The December competition of the Czech Tunnel League was already the 3rd competition for... (more)
News Article Did you know that more Czech juniors and Polish seniors competed at Flyspot in December?
posted: Dec 16th, 2024 The December meet of Poland's Flyspot Liga featured more than only the 3-point duel between MAD Team and guest team Panthers from the Czech Republic. The AA Class offered a similar competition between two teams behind the opponents for the top spots on the same leaderboard. Once again, it was a Polish 4-way senior team battling with a 4-way junior team from the Czech Republic. Both senior teams eventually had the upper hand over the Czech 4-way juniors. The first update from Poland mentioned that the Czech junior Panthers were outscored despite their new team record average, and only by the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Panthers finished with a new team record average in Poland?
posted: Dec 15th, 2024 Skywalkers Junior have been one of the busiest 4-way competition teams in the world since their transition from indoor to outdoor training and competition. Their team name is on 12 traditional leaderboards in 2024, and they have also posted additional scores every month for the two 4-way Open Class sequences (AAA/AA) of the Indoor Cloud League. There is still another Czech team that matches the Skywalkers Junior record number of eight indoor meets between Januar and December 2024. AA Class 4-way junior team Panthers compete at the meets of the Czech Tunnel League, and they also travel to Poland... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhyhtm XP and coach Solly Williams also discussed the surprising slot scramble?
posted: Dec 13th, 2024 The recent NSL Live Talk with the complete SDC Rhythm XP lineup and coach Solly Williams ended with a surprise, which requires a follow-up story. The discussion of the team history concluded with the slots, which the NSL News has documented since the team project was launched in 2007. Doug Barron joined Rhythm in 2016 and started in the tail slot, where he staid until after the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 in August 2021. The center slots were taken by JaNette (outside) and Steve Lefkowitz (inside). The new Rhythm members, Andrew Happick and Doug Barron, took the open positions. Doug Barron had... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP had a 100-jump tryout with Greg Oldendick?
posted: Dec 11th, 2024 It was coincidence that Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP both had changes in their lineups recently and roughly at the same time. The NSL News pointed out a few days ago that they came in very different ways though. SDC Rhythm XP had not planned any changes, especially as the longest and most consistent Rhythm member, Doug Barron, knows that the continuity of a lineup is a very important component in the makings of a world class team. Going into his 10th year, he has now spent the longest time in the Rhythm lineups since 2007, behind the team founders JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz. The unexpected... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed have paperwork on their agenda too?
posted: Dec 10th, 2024 Arizona Airspeed is now in the middle of their first training camp with the new lineup that the NSL News has introduced comprehensively in the past weeks. The move of new team member Alisson De Vargas from Brazil to the United States was one of the major related topics and has been discussed by the most experienced competitors and coaches in the sport. The conclusions included the fact that there is nothing unusual when competitors change their countries that they have been competing for, and the Arizona Airspeed lineups of the past themselves have been the best examples. The authorities in... (more)
