News Article Did you know that Jazz Republic qualified as South Africa's national indoor team?
posted: Nov 13th, 2023 It does not happen very often that one single leaderboard features only exciting competition from the top to the bottom. This was the case though at the Flyspot Open 2023 where six teams engaged each other in three different 10-round duels. The NSL News covered the first two duels with the update on November 12th. The two national teams from Czech Republic and Poland, Skywalkers Junior and Flyspot Sky4Four, were separated by three points after the ten rounds. HF Chameleons and MAD Team from the same countries had the second duel for the bronze medals and needed an extra round to break their... (more)
News Article Did you know that teams from Czech Republic and Poland dueled twice at Flyspot Katovice?
posted: Nov 12th, 2023 The AAA Class competition at this year's Flyspot Open in Katovice featured three duels with exciting competition through all ten rounds. Two of these three duels were special, as they both pitched teams from Poland and the Czech Republic directly against each other. The first one took place on the very top of the leaderboard and engaged the national indoor and outdoor 4-way teams of both countries in a 10-round battle, Poland's home team Flyspot Sky4Four and Skywalkers Junior. This first duel was even more interesting due to very different history of the two teams. Sky4Four have been on NSL... (more)
News Article Did you know that Skydive Midwest NEXT continue unchanged?
posted: Nov 11th, 2023 The ICL Midwest Team joined the Indoor Cloud League in August 2020 and started with the highest total of the month. It was the NEXT comeback lineup (Lauren Byrd, Megan George, Chris Haslam, Greg Oldendick, Elliot Byrd on camera) that managed the indoor events after a 2-year interruption. It was an unfortunate timing for the new lineup, as the implications of the corona virus crisis made it next to impossible to run indoor and outdoor events. However, ICL Midwest and Paraclete XP managed their way through the major obstacle and posted scores and videos for each of the months in the second half... (more)
News Article Did you know that Rippin Flatties had an 8-2 agreement for the ten rounds?
posted: Nov 10th, 2023 The NSL News reported on October 25th that VFS world champion Jason Russell competed in vertical and horizontal events both at the USPA Nationals 2023. His horizontal 4-way team, Mustangs, finished in 16th place in the AA/Intermediate Class. Jason Russell was not the only VFS competitor who participated in vertical and horizontal events both. There was another 4-way team with a combination of horizontal and vertical competitors who even signed up for the 4-way Open Class event, the Rippin Flatties. Two of the team members (Carl Kallgren, Jason McClure) had won the 4-way Intermediate Class... (more)
News Article Did you know that Steve "Scuba" Feldman offers NSL Live Talk with Ben Liston?
posted: Nov 8th, 2023 The recent Indoor Cloud League update from iFLY Colorado Springs included a lot of connections between the indoor event and the USPA Nationals 2023. The NSL News pointed out that five of the Top 6 teams on the Advanced Class leaderboard had competitors in their lineups who would post Indoor Cloud League scores for iFLY Colorado Springs a month later. CPI Chicken Bolts were the only exception, while they did their best to keep the Air Force teams from winning a second set of medals in this AAA Class category. AF Artemis eventually had a 4-point lead over the New England team after Round 10, where... (more)
News Article Did you know that six Air Force teams were back for Indoor Cloud League action?
posted: Nov 7th, 2023 Eric Daniel and Emily Bombardi launched the Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Colorado Springs in May 2022 and posted scores and videos for six months last year. They were back with their Air Force 4-way teams and other participants after a 2-month winter break in November and December and posted new scores and videos for the early winter months of 2023. Several of the participating teams and competitors used the summer months to get ready for the USPA Nationals 2023, and they brought back USPA medals in 4-way Advanced and 8-way Intermediate to Colorado. The iFLY Colorado Springs team then resumed... (more)
