posted: Sep 21st, 2023 Teams and competitors at the USPA Nationals 2023 have turned to the 16-way event, where the combination of Arizona Airspeed, GKXP8 and XPG4, with two outsiders (Steve Lefkowitz, Doug Barron), dominate the leaderboard the same way as they did in 4-way and 8-way. The NSL News is catching up with other events in the meantime, this time with more news from Great Britain. The two teams who had outscored the 4-way world champions in Round 1, SDC Rhythm XP and XPG4, had a few of their own point deductions in the same Super Sequence and then followed up with their battle for the positions behind Arizona Airspeed. The participation was significantly higher than last year when 48 teams competed at Skydive Chicago. The special attention has been directed at family teams that consist of different generations and/or siblings. Married or unmarried couples together in 4-way lineups have never been unusual in the sport at all, and some of them even made it to the gold medal level in the past and presence. One of the most popular,... (more)

posted: Sep 14th, 2023 Gary Smith was one of the most successful 4-way competitors in the sport, with two world championship titles of 2004 and 2006 under his belt. He started his career as a coach while he was still competing and has been just as successful with his job. He guided NMP PCH HayaBusa to the team's first world championship title in Prostejov 2014 and helped to defend the 4-way title in 2016, 2018 and 2021. He knows the Belgian team and their history better than anybody else, even though he has been a full-time coach for Qatar's Formation Skydiving delegation for several years. The new NSL Live Talk...
