News Article Did you know that the first NSL Power Rankings promise very exciting competition at Crystal Coast?
posted: Aug 23rd, 2024 The unofficial list of currently registered teams for the FAI Outdoor World Championships 2024 allowed the NSL News to generate the first NSL Power Rankings for the 4-way Open Class competition at Crystal Coast, North Carolina, in October. Nine of the 13 listed national 4-way Open Class teams competed at the previous outdoor world championship in Eloy 2022, as well, and six of them return with the same lineups two years later. NMP PCH HayaBusa, Agera and Out Of The Blue have new team members. All of the returning teams, including HayaBusa and OOTB, can naturally be expected to confirm their... (more)
News Article Did you know that the German national 8-way champion may be rewarded with FAI bronze medals?
posted: Aug 22nd, 2024 The recent 8-way results from the British Outdoor Nationals confirmed the indications of previous NSL News updates that Germany seems to have a realistic chance to defend the 8-way bronze medals successfully that Airbus Oceanside Illertissen won for the first time at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022. The British 8-way teams used to be some of Germany's toughest 8-way opponents for the rankings behind the medal positions in this world championship category. 8-way teams from the United States, France, Russia and Qatar were in the way for any other national 8-way teams to get to the medal... News Article Did you know that Texas, Midwest and Florida teams battled on the ICL July leaderboard?
posted: Aug 22nd, 2024 Kyle Hermberg's Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas had only eight participants available last month to perform the July sequences. He had to choose wisely how to set up the lineups and assign them to the six different sequences. He was aware of the ICL rules and could eventually not use all the scores that his July team generated, as the same participants may only score in two neighboring categories. Result was a set of four scores and videos for the month of July in the middle of the summer season and the preparations for the upcoming national outdoor championship. Kyle Hermberg said... (more)
News Article Did you know that the British 8-way Nationals needed the next tie-breaker?
posted: Aug 20th, 2024 British 8-way teams used to be in the hunt for the highest ranking behind the medal contenders until the Qatar Falcons occupied the 4th place in 2016. There was still no place on the 8-way podium in sight even when France did not send an 8-way team to Australia in 2018. This changed in 2022 when Russia was banned from participation, and France did not send a state-supported national 8-way team to the major FAI events any longer. Only U.S. team Paraclete XP8 and Qatar Tigers were out of reach, and Germany's Airbus 8-way team was the first one who benefitted from the surprisingly available medal... (more)
News Article Did you know that bad weather did not stop 4-way competitors in the Midwest?
posted: Aug 20th, 2024 Last weekend accommodated several related 4-way activities, even though they did not all turn out the way they were planned. The second meet of the Great Lakes Skydiving League at AerOhio was completely weathered out. Four regional teams had posted scores at the first GLSL meet in June, and AA/Intermediate Class team AerOdynamics decided to move their meet practice to iFLY Detroit instead this time. AerOdynamics had trained outdoors last month and were ready to post new scores of a new competition draw for more meet practice before the USPA Nationals 2024 in September. The weather interfered,... News Article Did you know that Agera and Airbus both have their eyes on the 5th place?
posted: Aug 16th, 2024 The recent NSL News update from Norway included the scores of the national outdoor championship. As expected, and without a challenge of the DeLand Norgies this year, Agera and Thyra confirmed their national top positions in 4-way Open and 4-way Women. The videos of Thyra's ten competition rounds in Norway were featured in the same story, and the videos of Agera's performance are now available, as well. The same story also pointed out that Thyra could have a chance for their next FAI medal position, after the 4-way Women bronze medals at the FAI European Championship 2023, if they can catch... (more)
