Did you know that the French national teams are testing the 4way and 8way double duties this week? posted: Aug 10th, 2012 The French national teams don't have to compete at the annual championships, and they usually don't do that, as they rather focus on their job to represent France at the international meets. They did this very successfully at the last World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk, Russia, when they won all four Formation Skydiving events (4way Open, 4way Female, 4way VFS, 8way).
It is different this year. National Formation Skydiving manager Jeremie Rollett, who is still the reigning 4way world champion of 2010, has ordered his 4way and 8way lineups to travel to Vichy and compete on home turf this week. Aerodyne... (more)
Did you know that the busiest competition week of the year began in Norway? posted: Aug 9th, 2012 The busiest competition week of the 2012 season has begun with the national championships in Norway. Scores of nine other meets will be posted if the weather cooperates everywhere.
The schedule includes four national championships. Norway, Finland, France and the United Kingdom will crown their 4way and 8way champions of 2012 at the end of the week. Germany will follow up next week.
The scores of the first rounds in Norway show the same top of the leaderboard as in 2011. The DeLand Norgies celebrate the next reunion and are still too strong for Norway's national team in the female category.... (more)
Did you know that the Florida delegation had the first iFLY session of August last night? posted: Aug 8th, 2012 Teams, competitors and new skydivers of the Florida Skydiving League met once again on a Tuesday evening at iFLY Orlando to improve their individual skills and train for the monthly indoor showdown with the Northwest Skydiving League at iFLY Seattle.
FSL Tunnel Kicker head coach Ari Perelman, who is also a freeflying expert and recently participated in the head down world record formation at Skydive Chicago, had invited the group of FSL 4way and Formation Skydiving fans who would represent the FSL delegation at the first attempt to master the six new sequences for August and outscore the NWSL... Did you know that all NWSL teams improved their scoring averages significantly? posted: Aug 7th, 2012 The Northwest Skydiving League successfully held its second meet of the 2012 season last weekend. The weather was as good as the forecast had promised, and all teams completed six rounds on one day.
The NSL News reported earlier that former Elsinore Vengeance member Deb Coreia brought the Norhtwest Skydiving League back to action this year, which includes indoor and outdoor activities in her Washington/Oregon region.

Did you know that the Northern Plains Skydiving League wrapped up the 2012 season last weekend? posted: Aug 6th, 2012 The Northern Plains Skydiving League completed the 4th and last meet of the 2012 season last weekend at Skydive Superior. New NPSL Director Al BeVier ran the first three meets of the year at Skydive Twin Cities and from a Twin Otter. However, he was planning to spread the NPSL word more across his region and invited the NPSL teams and competitors to a different hosting DZ this time.

French 8way world champion and bigway expert Martial Ferre has confirmed his trip to Magdeburg in a few weeks and will offer his outstanding organizing services to all skydivers who are interested in high quality bigways at the event.
