News Article Did you know that the Czech Republic recorded the highest 4way participation in history this week?
posted: Jan 12th, 2013 The 4way community in the Czech Republic keeps growing. Jan Klapka, founder of the Czech Republic Skydiving League, updated the NSL News with the latest scores of the first indoor competition of 2013 at the Sportflight Skydive Arena in Prague. The total number of 12 teams at a 4way competition stands for the highest participation ever in the history of the sport in the Czech Republic - indoor and outdoor. Additional two teams competed in VFS 4way where Jan Klapka has created a Rookie Class category for the beginners in this event. The field of 12 teams did not even include the national 4way... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP's new lineup is complete?
posted: Jan 11th, 2013 It was somehow shocking when the NSL News reported on 9 November 2012 that Chris Farina and Thiago Gomes were both leaving SDC Rhythm XP after a very successful 2012 season. Rhythm had finally taken the 2nd place in the USA and had also moved closer and closer to Arizona Airspeed every year. Rhythm or Canada's national team Evolution were also arguably the best 4way teams in the world behind Airspeed, NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Aerodyne Aerokart, the three medal winners at the Mondial Dubai 2012. The move by Chris Farina and Thiago Gomes seemed to make sense only when Airspeed announced both of them... (more)
News Article Did you know that the bottom of the leaderboard has its own important challenges?
posted: Jan 10th, 2013 NSL-TV resumes the coverage of the female 4way competition at the Mondial Dubai 2012. The last InTime videos featured Round 7, and videos of Round 8 have now been uploaded for reviews. The coverage is incomplete, as all videos of this round were not available. It is a good opportunity to introduce some of the teams who have not been featured during the earlier rounds and who did not compete on the top of the leaderboard. In fact, the situation at the bottom of the leaderboard is just as interesting as it is on the top. The final outcome of the Mondial Dubai 2012 shows that it is not so easy... (more)
News Article Did you know that the USA moved up to the 10th place in the 4way Open Class world rankings?
posted: Jan 9th, 2013 The race in the latest NSL Poll between Evolution from Canada and US team SDC Rhythm XP for the unofficial No. 4 ranking in the world's 4way competition world was extremely close from the first vote on, and it continued like that to the end. Both teams seem to be considered on the same scoring and performance level by the NSL News audience. Evolution finished with a slight advantage. There is actually an official FAI/IPC world ranking, as the NSL News reported on 27 September 2012. The same article mentioned that the ranking system was a "little bit" off pace at that point in time, as the USA... (more)
News Article Did you know that a new Paraclete XP8 lineup is challenging the Golden Knights this year?
posted: Jan 8th, 2013 The meet videos of Round 10 wrap at the complete NSL-TV coverage of the 8way competition at the Mondial Dubai 2012. Golden Knights and Aerodyne Maubeuge delivered two more world class performances and both wiped out the 22.4 record average of the Golden Knights in 1997. However, it was the US Army lineup of 2012 who kept the highest 8way average in history in US and Golden Knights possession. Round 10 was also Brian "BK" Krause's last skydive with the US Army team. He built this team and guided it to the gold medals in Dubai after four years under his leadership. Sean Sweeney is the new team... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Paraclete XP 4-on-4 camp finished with an 8way mini meet?
posted: Jan 7th, 2013 The embedded live coverage of Paraclete XP's 4-on-4 indoor training camp for 8way fans continued on Sunday with another hour of flying time for the eight participants. The four coaches (Golden Knights 8way world champions Brian "BK" Krause and Justin "JB" Blewitt, Kirk Verner, John D'Annunzio) completed a total of two hours of flying time on both days, as they were in the chamber with both groups. The daily hour of flying time was broken up into four sessions of 15 minutes each where the two lineups performed four different 8way competition sequences and repeated each one in the same flying...
