News Article Did you know that the outcome of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship was identical with Dubai?
posted: Dec 18th, 2012 It happened again - and this time even more precisely than ever before. The results of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012, including the popular Shamrock Showdown Skins Game, mirrored the outcome of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in the same year. This is nothing really new, as the NSL News has checked and reported the interesting records with earlier stories. However, this year's facts are even more amazing. It seems like nothing changed between March and December 2012. The results at the DeLand meet in March have correctly predicted the new world champions several... (more)
News Article Did you know that Evolution competed with four different lineups this year?
posted: Dec 17th, 2012 The 4way Open Class competition in Singapore was also far from over after Round 8. The leaderboard is now complete and includes the point deductions for all teams. The report of the VFS 4way competition requires a few corrections, which are related to Canada's team Evolution. Katie Woods in on the team photo, however, she did not compete for Evolution in VFS 4way. She was only in the traditional Open Class lineup. JC Ouimet competed together with the three Lemay brothers, Martin, Vincent and Benoit. He is a tunnel instructor in Montreal and has trained with Evolution's VFS 4way lineup after... (more)
News Article Did you know that almost everything changed in VFS 4way in Singapore?
posted: Dec 16th, 2012 Yesterday's headline was actually correct, as nothing changed for the VFS 4way winner in Singapore, Dubai Nexus. However, not much else was still the same when participants of the event informed the NSL News that the meet was not over after eight rounds. The competition draw was posted for only eight rounds since the last three sequences would be added after the "qualification rounds". Two of the six VFS 4way teams were then eliminated, and the remaining four top teams completed three more rounds. This procedure makes sense in this category, as the VFS 4way dive pool does not have enough... (more)
News Article Did you know that Dubai Nexus added $15,000 to the Mondial silver medals?
posted: Dec 15th, 2012 The indoor competition in Singapore is over, and SDC Rhythm XP took the 2nd place away from Evolution. The NSL News will follow up with more detailed information later. The Canadian 4way Open and VFS 4way team did not have much better luck in the new age 4way competition and ended up with another 4th place after finishing in the same position at the Mondial Dubai 2012. However, the three Lemay brothers (Martin, Vincent, Benoit) and Katie Woods still made their point very clearly in both events. They also took home $8,000 cash for the 3rd place in 4way Open and missed another $8,000 by four... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new Evolution engine is running full steam in Singapore?
posted: Dec 14th, 2012 The NSL News mentioned on 24 November 2012 that Arizona Airspeed's trip to Asia would not be over after the Mondial Dubai 2012. The newest leaderboard shows the just recetly crowned 4way world champion once again on the top, this time at the indoor competition in Singapore. Airspeed was not the only team traveling from the United Arab Emirates even further southeast. Evolution from Canada and Australia's national team Rotor Out are also competing in Singapore, together with a surprise visitor from the USA, SDC Rhythm XP. Airspeed is far ahead after five of eight rounds and will now be rewarded... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Blue Rebels from Greece peaked at the right time?
posted: Dec 13th, 2012 Today's NSL News topic is only indirectly related to the Mondial Dubai 2012. Earlier previews of the event included a closer look at the participation at World Championships of Formation Skydiving since 1985. The Dubai numbers are final now and confirm record participation in almost each of the four FS events. It's only "almost" since the 38 teams in the 4way Open Class competition did not beat the 1997 record number of 38 teams in Turkey. All the other numbers are new highscores for each event. There is actually a nation that has been represented by a team on a regular basis in the past... (more)
