Did you know that Denmark's project teams will be challenged more than ever this year? posted: Jul 13th, 2012 It happened again - as it happens pretty much on any given meet weekend when the NSL front page displays a new competition draw and follows up with the scores of the according meets as soon as possible. Teams at many other locations on the planet use the same draw for their training purposes and compare their own scores with the posted ones.
This time, two teams from Denmark copied the indoor competition draw of the training meet at Bodyflight Bedford that the NSL News reported on 5 July 2012. Three teams from Denmark and Fire from Sweden had met in Bedford for a training camp that concluded... (more)
Did you know that ISB Air Remscheid 2way videos show top pace? posted: Jul 12th, 2012 The new meet weekend is around the corner, and it will be a busy one with six meets in six different countries, including France and the United Kingdom. The NSL News goes back one more time to last weekend's competition in Germany, the Paranodon Cup 2012.
The meet story explained the EADS lineup except one slot. Tail Göran Meyer was not available, and Enrico Piffaretti took his slot for the meet. He is a Swiss competitor who trains and competes with VIVA, the national 4way and 8way team for Switzerland.

Did you know that the training week in Finland included a high profile international 4way performance? posted: Jul 11th, 2012 Last weekend's A Class leaderboard did not need any adjustments, and it was owned by teams from Finland. Four of the five teams competed in Utti, and the Angry Birds completed the same six rounds at Chicagoland Skydiving.
The NSL News update from Finland on 26 June 2012 had pointed out that "a team from Finland took the top spot in the A Class". It was something special and does not happen often that a team from a very small skydiving country ends up on the top of the leaderboard. Now it happened again, and just a few weeks later.
It was Umppa Lumpat who won the top spot for Finland, and... (more)
Did you know that SDC Furies XP were the actual AAA Class top team last weekend? posted: Jul 10th, 2012 Last weekend's AAA Class leaderboard requires a similar adjustment as in the Rookie Class. It was again a team from Germany that this time took away the AAA Class top spot from the Midwest Skydiving League. Once again, the positions were switched due to the meet average rankings on the overall leaderboard.
EADS completed all ten rounds of last weekend's competition draw at the Paranodon Cup in Germany, while SDC Furies XP was done after six rounds at Chicagoland Skydiving. The numbers per round show that the Furies were actually six points ahead of the Germans after Round 6.
The last four... (more)
Did you know that the Rookie Class teams have once again the strongest showing on the leaderboard? posted: Jul 9th, 2012 Last weekend's leaderboard has its strongest part once again in the Rookie Class. This has happened several times this year, although it has been unusual in the past. It's a great indication for 4way competition, as this category shows how much interest there is at the grassroot level. Today's Rookie Class teams and competitors are the world champions of tomorrow.
The overall leaderboard needed an adjustment though. It shows all rounds all teams complete each weekend, and each team's meet average is calculated according to the number of completed rounds, even if other teams made more or less... (more)

It took place during a record heat wave in the Chicago area with a high temperature of 101 that holds the unofficial record for the hottest MWSL meet ever. However, Alan Butt said that the weather was eminently jumpable with sunny skies and a light western breeze,... (more)
