News Article Did you know that BJ Worth invites only one bigway team to SkyQuest Florida 2012?
posted: Sep 26th, 2012 The regular 2012 competition season is slowly coming to its end, and most of the national championship events on the planet are over by now. Only the Russian teams are currently in the middle of their main competition of the year, and the US teams get into their final preparations for the USPA Nationals 2012. The other national champion teams have already set their eyes on the Mondial 2012 in Dubai, which includes the World Championship of Formation Skydiving. The NSL News will provide the usual live coverage of both events directly from the competition site. Other than that, the bigway experts... (more)
News Article Did you know that Skydive City hosted a Wind Damaged reunion at the final FSL meet of the regular 2012 season?
posted: Sep 25th, 2012 Five more teams competed last weekend at Skydive City, but only one AAA Class team had the opportunity to experience the Super Sequence in Round 4. Teiwaz finished shortly behind the two AAA Class top teams from Texas in Round 4 and tied the Dallas Pulse score with a 23-pointer after two point deductions. The main competition at Skydive City took place in the A Class where three teams attended the last meet of the regular 2012 season. The Super Sequence also trickled down into the A Class with the first three Random Formations (J-F-E) of the sequence and offered a great scoring opportunity. However,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Dallas Super Cup scores were boosted not only by a Super Sequence?
posted: Sep 24th, 2012 The 2012 season is also over for the 4way teams in Texas, except for those who will travel to Eloy for the USPA Nationals in October or to DeLand for the NSL Championship in November. The Dallas Super Cup concluded the 2012 season in a fashionable way, as the competition draw for last weekend included a Super Sequence in Round 4 (J-F-E-Q-N). A sequence of only Random Formations is nothing unusual for Rookie Class teams, and the A Class draw includes sequences with three Random Formations on a regular basis, as well. AAA Class teams and even AA Class teams have to wait much longer until a... (more)
News Article Did you know that Turning Points does not really relate the Queen to the 72 teams at the UK Nationals?
posted: Sep 23rd, 2012 The latest edition of the Blue Skies Mag included a new article for the NSL News column. Topic was the UK Nationals 2012, and it was not the athletic part of the event that caught the NSL News attention. 4way Formation Skydiving competition in the United Kingdom has once again come to a new record participation this year. It was interesting to go back in time and give it some thought how the growth of the British 4way and 8way community can be explained. The Queen does not really have anything to do with that. However, perhaps one day the British government will support skydiving competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that Sinner-G and Cross Keys Flashpoint battled in the A Class last weekend?
posted: Sep 21st, 2012 The battle in the Rookie Class between the Northwest Skydiving League and the Carolina Skydiving League, which concluded with a tie on the top of this part of the overall leaderboard, was not the only exciting cross-league competition. The NSL News report from the Northwest Skydiving League mentioned that NWSL team Sinner-G moved up into the A Class for the first time at an outdoor competition last weekend. Sinner-G had indirectly competed with Rookie Class teams from other leagues on previous meet weekends. However, it was the first time that the NWSL team would face another team from a different...
