posted: Apr 1st, 2012 The latest NSL News contribution for the Blue Skies Mag and the "Turning Points" column goes back to the more competitive part of Formation Skydiving. In fact, it is once again the most competitive part where the best teams in the world compete for the gold medals at world championships, nothing less. They wanted and still want even more, they are after both gold medals in the two major Formation Skydiving events, 4way and 8way competition in the Open... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP keeps posting new team highscores?
posted: Mar 31st, 2012 Only three of the 15 teams in the 4way Open Class competition at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 came from the United States, Arizona Airspeed, SDC Rhythm XP and Carolina Turbo XP. The Golden Knights did not compete in 4way since they wanted to fully focus on the 8way competition with Sky Panthers Barkli from Russia. All three US teams improved their scoring level of the USPA Nationals 2011, even though the competition draw in DeLand was not faster at all. In fact, their meet averages at the Paraclete Outdoor Championship 2012 were new team records for all three teams. Arizona... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Irish delegation for the World Challenge keeps growing?
posted: Mar 30th, 2012 The field of teams at the Shamrock Showdown 2011 included a team from Ireland for the first time, while the World Challenge had the first team from UK's neighbor island at the 2010 event. The number went up to three teams at the World Challenge 2011. Fast Air competed in the AAA Class, Kinetix in the A Class and NYOL (Noo Your Other Left) in the Rookie Class. This was enough reason for the NSL News to gather the complete Irish delegation for a live NSL Talk last year. The teams from Ireland are now making the next step up, and the World Challenge 2012 will be the first time in the history... (more)

posted: Mar 30th, 2012 The NSL News makes another excursion to the bigway world. The story on 28 March 2012 reported the German 231way recently built in Eloy, Arizona, and the current project in DeLand to build a 222way Florida State Record. Organizer BJ Worth invited official judges to make sure that a successful 222way will go into the records. USPA Judge Marylou Laughlin and Jerry Bird are in charge of counting the number of connected bigway fans, but there is much more behind the job. They also have to make sure that the participants are registered properly before they are boarding the nine jump planes. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL News crunched the NMP-PCH Hayabusa numbers?
posted: Mar 29th, 2012 The NSL News mentioned earlier that NMP-PCH Hayabusa has moved dangerously close to the reigning 4way world champions from France, Aerodyne Aerokart, and to the arguably best 4way team in the world at the moment, Arizona Airspeed. In fact, Hayabusa has not moved close to the French team but won the 2nd place at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012, with only Airspeed five points ahead. It is not the first time that Hayabusa defeated the French national team at an outdoor competition. It happened the first time at the World Cup 2007 after a jump-off Round 11 that Hayabusa won by one point.... (more)
News Article Did you know that German skydivers missed a new official bigway world record by two slots?
posted: Mar 28th, 2012 A group of German bigway experts, organized by former 4way and 8way champion Dieter Kirsch, recently traveled to Skydive Arizona to challenge the Russian world record for the largest formation with only national participants. Russian skydivers accomplished their mission with a completed 201way in August 2011. The German group spent eight days in Eloy to improve their own best number of 200, which was done in 2008, and to post a bigger number than Russia for the biggest national formation ever. The Germans first built a 210way, then a 229way and finished the bigway project with a 231way. However,... (more)
