Did you know that the 8-way event could be the highlight of the World Cup 2011? posted: Jul 11th, 2011 The last preview of the World Cup 2011 mentioned that this year's event has the character of a real world meet, as four teams from outside of Europe visit Germany next month. The Golden Knighhts are the major contributor to this great feature event of the 2011 season.
The US Army delegation has a lineup for each of the three traditional Formation Skydiving events, and the 8-way competition will most likely be the most exciting category. The 4-way Open Class competition does not have the strongest US team in the field of 23 teams, Arizona Airspeed. The Golden Knights have a very strong 4-way... (more)
Did you know that Flying Fish is the TEAM OF THE WEEKEND? posted: Jul 11th, 2011 The busiest meet weekend of the 2011 season is coming up, with events at eight different locations. Five of the competitions take place in the USA, while teams in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and France will also post their scores at the same time. The third weekend of the month seems to be the prime choice of meet organizers.
The Midwest Skydiving League had the only meet last weekend. MWSL Director Alan Butt scheduled a faster turnaround from June (25th) to July (9th) since the MWSL teams have a shorter competition season after a late start this year. The turnout was still the same at Chicagoland... (more)
Did you know that the missed Australian - German duel of 2010 now takes place at the World Cup 2011? posted: Jul 10th, 2011 The World Cup 2011 is just a few days over three weeks away. The registration deadline is passed at this point in time, and the field of teams promises exciting competition in all events.

There will not only be more FS teams this year, the competition in Germany also has the character of a real world meet this time. The 2009 event was exclusively a European... (more)
Did you know that Evolution tries to win both 4-way events in Canada? posted: Jul 7th, 2011 The team name "Evolution" did not appear on the leaderboard of this year's Midway Battle, at least not on the 4-way Formation Skydiving leaderboard for teams who fly horizontally.
The Canadian national 4-way team with the complete LeMay family (father Michel and his three sons Benoit, Vincent, Martin) had attended the Midway Battle last year and then competed at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. The NSL News covered the unique team many times on its road to the World Meet in Menzelinsk, Russia.
It has been quiet around the team ever since, as the LeMay family is very busy... (more)
Did you know that the center of the skydiving world seems to shift to the Middle East? posted: Jul 6th, 2011 First there was nothing. Well, a little bit. In fact, there was a 0.8 average after the eight rounds of the Dubai Championship 2010.
The Falcons from Qatar posted this meet average, and it was the first time that a 4-way team from Qatar attended a bigger meet.
Then it took only a year until the Falcons finished with an 11.5 average at the Dubai Championship 2011 - and until they began to love 4-way competition as much as Carl Daugherty loves big-ways...
It is pure coincidence that Carl Daugherty, living 10-way legend and big-way expert, is partially responsible for the progression of the... (more)
