News Article Did you know that 8-way videos show the Golden Knights from the judging angle?
posted: Feb 10th, 2011 The NSL News story on 5 February 2011 covered the 8-way competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011. The story included a video clip that showed some of the teams flying, with the up close and personal eye level view. Performances of Paraclete XP8 and the Golden Knights were a part of this live coverage, followed by one of the French 8-way teams (French Connection) who were player coached by 2010 8-way world champions Martial Ferre and Damien Sorlin. The NSL TV camera captured more "ground footage" while the 8-way competition was in full swing. The 8-way crowd had... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Perris Blitz lineup is complete?
posted: Feb 9th, 2011 The NSL News reported on 7 December 2010 that Perris Fury had decided to extend the team project. Plan was to put together a second team with the goal of competing at a high level in the AAA/Open Class. The same story had reported tryouts at Perris Valley Skydiving for the open slots. The first two committed members, Flemming Andersen and Kris Peterson, had already made the move to California to form the team and were looking for two more members and a videographer. The search is over now, Perris Blitz has been formed, and the training has started. Kevin Dalton and Kjetil Nordin will be completing... (more)
News Article Did you know that Katie Woods and SDC Rhythm XP go back to work this weekend?
posted: Feb 8th, 2011 The Valentine's Meet 2011 is not the only event this upcoming weekend. Areas of the USA where the winter weather does not force skydivers to hibernate can be active throughout the year. Two other events in Florida are not 4-way meets, however, they are supposed to bring the 4-way fun to skydivers on the grassroot level who may turn into more or less serious competitors later on. Skydive University organizes a 4-Way Scrambles Skills Camp in DeLand, while SDC Rhythm XP members will be player coaches at the next Team For A Day in Sebastian. (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL-TV presents Block 13 from the judging perspective?
posted: Feb 7th, 2011 It's all been said and done, and most importantly shown, at the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011. Arizona Airspeed is as strong as most people expected the new lineup to be. It would be a surprise if the polls changed between now and the USPA Nationals 2011. Paraclete XP4 finished in 2nd place, as the audience forecasted at the time of the meet. Perris Fury was not in 3rd place, and the Golden Knights took that slot. However, Fury's performance does not really count, as last year's USPA silver medalist competed with alternate John Hamilton in the Tail slot. Christy Frikken... (more)
News Article Did you know that Tricky Freeflying is on the air while the teams are waiting for the awards?
posted: Feb 6th, 2011 The 8-way teams are now completing the last round, while the 4-way teams have been done for a while. The award ceremony will be held together for both events, and the audience has to wait for the scores of Round 10 as a part of the show. The NSL News has also collected a lot of footage of other events, especially Vertical 4-way Formation Skydiving competition. SDC Standard is three points ahead of Team4Speed XP after nine rounds. Round 10 has been completed in this event, as well, and the scores will be posted as a part of the show. In the meantime, the NSL News has uploaded footage of last... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed made a statement in Round 9?
posted: Feb 6th, 2011 The last two rounds of the 4-way competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011 have begun, and Arizona Airspeed made an early morning statement. The new lineup does not seem to be satisfied with just winning the meet. Airspeed seems to tell the other US top teams that it is not even worth trying to catch them this year. Round 1 had another fast sequence, and Airspeed performed as if it was Round 10 of a world championship. No other team came even close to the 40-pointer, and Airspeed is standing with a 29.2 average after nine rounds. However, chances are little that... (more)
