Aethers Medjay on the very top did not require much explanation, even though the 33-point lead after Round 10 was probably more than expected in the formation skydiving competition community.
National coach Mathieu Bernier knew that his team had the head-start into the 2025 season, compared to other potential contenders for the world's 4-way top position, with the exception of the Golden Knights, who starting training and competing together with the same lineup in July 2023. Did you know that France has taken back the world's 4-way top spot? posted: Feb 3rd, 2025 The Wind Games 2025 were completed on Saturday and offered the exciting competition that was expected. The 4-way world has turned the way it only makes sense, with the French Aethers Medjay taking the top position. However, the takeover and the new power situation between the world's best 4-way teams were even more dramatic than expected.
The NSL Power Rankings in the preview on January 26th were showing the French national team in 4-way Open, Aethers Medjay, in 1st place without any other contenders for the top spot. The exciting battle would take place behind the world's new top team.

Did you know that the Czech Indoor Cloud League team finished January with the highest total since May 2020? posted: Feb 1st, 2025 The Czech Indoor Cloud League team at the Hurricane Factory provided the first scores and videos of the new year already before January was over, and it was a very impressive start.
The total of 156 points for January is the highest number since the Hurricane Factory team posted 158 ICL points in May 2020. HF Flying Circus were still scoring for the Czech team in the AAA/AA categories by then, and the current Skywalkers Junior, still split up in the 4-way juniors of HF Chameleons and HF Flying Rebels contributed the scores for the A and RRR categories.

Did you know that Germany can expect a new 8-way battle for the FAI bronze medal position? posted: Jan 31st, 2025 The German 8-way duel between the Airbus 8-way team and Operation Adler has been covered comprehensively by the NSL News, including live coverage from the German national outdoor championships at GoJump in Gransee near Berlin.
The battle for the slot in the German delegation at the 26th FAI World Formation Skydiving Championships at Crystal Coast Skydiving in North Carolina turned out be as exciting as it was expected, despite the 6-point advantage for Operation Adler after Round 10.

Did you know that the separation of 4-way pros and amateurs has been growing? posted: Jan 29th, 2025 The NSL News has touched the topic of the unofficial amateur world champions on a regular basis in the past years, including the most recent NSL Live Talk with Ben Liston. By any means, this is exclusively a journalistic topic and is not covered by any rules and regulations in formation skydiving competition. However, the recreational teams and competitors still represent arguably 95% of the participants in the sport, which is a number that the experts in the sport estimate.

Did you know that Jim Rees and Ben Liston have plenty of dive pool experiences to share? posted: Jan 27th, 2025 Not much time is left until the decision will be made whether the current 4-way dive pool will be changed or not, as the NSL News reported on January 20th. The ISC Formation Skydiving Committee meetings at the 75th Plenary Meeting in Rome (Italy) will begin tomorrow, on January 28th, and conclude on February 2nd.
