Did you know that two new Swedish teams battle for 2010 tickets to Russia? posted: Mar 5th, 2010 The 4-way competition in Sweden has mostly been a battle of two teams for the top spot as the national team at the international events of the past years.
Team Spaï (Tobias Alsiö, Mikael Kaulanen, Ulf Liljenbäck, Mats Svensson) battled with Team 42 (Mattias Pålsson, Joar Stenkvist, Jens Thögersen, Andreas Wittbom) throughout the 2006 and 2007 season.
Team 42 had the last word at the Swedish Nationals 2006, won with a 15.1 average over Team Spaï (14.5) and competed for Sweden at the World Meet 2006. Team 42 finished in 11th place with a 16.2 average in Germany. (more)
Did you know that the Atmosfera project develops 4-way competition in Portugal? posted: Mar 4th, 2010 Portugal has competed with a 4-way team at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving only three times. The first time, the small South European country, with one border to Spain on the east and only the Atlantic Ocean on the other side, the Portugese 4-way team did not have to travel far. The World Meet 1989 was hosted by Spain, and Portugal finished in 25th place with a 4.3 average.
The trip to Turkey in 1997 was much longer. The distance between Turkey and Portugal is the longest one possible on the east-west axis of Europe. The 4-way team from Portugal finished in 31st place this time,... (more)
Did you know that IPC Subcommittee Advisor Sven Ibens trains and competes with 4XTT? posted: Mar 3rd, 2010 The NSL News introduced the Dutch/Belgian 4XTT lineup already last year when the team competed at the ESL Championship 2009. The story on 4 February 2010 followed up after the Dutch national 4-way team Dynamic Fource had completed a winter training camp in DeLand, and Dynamic's Center Outside Paul Hofstee told the NSL News that the same 4XTT lineup would also continue in 2010.
The Dutch/Belgian fun project team is chasing the 20-average benchmark after the same lineup posted a 19.4 average at the ESL Championship 2009. Sven Ibens already completed this mission with Hayabusa's 20.4 average at... (more)
Did you know that Shamrock scores have been a good indicator of the new season? posted: Mar 2nd, 2010 The NSL News coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2010 is almost complete. Only the meet videos of the Dutch/Belgian 4XTT combination still need to be processed and uploaded.
Then it'a about time to get ready for the next high-profile competition after the Dubai Championship. The FSL Shamrock Showdown 2010 is coming up soon, and it will once again bring together some of the best teams in the world in DeLand.

Did you know that more French tunnel videos show more world champions in action? posted: Mar 1st, 2010 The NSL News story on 22 February 2010 provided scores and information of the Aerokart Indoor Championship 2010. The story on 26 February 2010 followed up with the competition videos of the French national 4-way team in the female category, Aerokart Deep Blue.
Three additional videos have now been uploaded, and they include the winner of the wind tunnel competition, Aerokart PCs. The earlier NSL News story already mentioned that only the team name is new on the leaderboard. The original lineup (Clement Martin-Saint-Leon, Arnaud Mille, Julien Olek, Emmanuel Sarrazin) was already founded in 2008... (more)
Did you know that Flippin Awesome had Blue and family connections? posted: Feb 28th, 2010 The NSL News story on 25 February 2010 had introduced the Arizona Frenzy lineup at the Valentine's Meet 2010 and explained some cross connections between Frenzy and other teams.
There were actually even more cross connections, which reached beyond the competition classes. The Flippin Awesome lineup, the only team in the AA Class competition at the Valentine's Meet 2010, included Gary Peterson. He is Annie Peterson's father. Annie Peterson is a member of the US national 4-way team in the female category, Spaceland Blue, and she competed in Eloy as a player coach for Arizona Frenzy. (more)
