News Article Did you know that Satori is eager to post more world class scores this weekend?
posted: Sep 8th, 2009 The internal competition of the five 4-way teams from the United Kingdom at the FAI World Cup 2009 ended with a clear victory of Sonicnutz. It was a little bit complicated to determine the fair rankings of all teams since the all-female lineup, Kaizen, competed in the female 4-way category and completed all ten rounds. There was no cut for semifinals and finals in this event due to the low number of teams. Sonicnutz was the only British 4-way team in the Open Class that made the first cut into the semifinals and was finished after nine rounds. Phobia, Fusion and Escondido completed eight... (more)
News Article Did you know that new photo galleries offer a better review of the World Cup 2009?
posted: Sep 7th, 2009 The NSL News camera took a lot of photos at the FAI World Cup 2009, and only a few of them eventually make it into the stories. The photos are useful for upcoming reviews of the event. However, many of them never make it to the public eye, which they are actually meant for. The NSL News now created a few galleries with all the photos that were taken in Prostejov. They are not organized in a very specific way, and many of them were also shown on CamScore's DZ-TV during the World Cup. These galleries offer the audience another opportunity to get an even better idea of what happened at the... (more)
News Article Did you know that DeLand Majik was the first team with only 20-pointers and higher?
posted: Sep 6th, 2009 The NSL News mentioned in the story on 3 September 2009 that only Arizona Airspeed has managed to score 20 or higher in each round of a 10-round competition. The same story speculated that chances are very good that France will copy Airspeed's unique record. Eight rounds of the 4-way Open Class competition at the FAI World Cup 2009 were completed at that time. France Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge followed through and posted 22 and 31 points in the last two rounds to complete this amazing performance. (more)
News Article Did you know that the videos of Round 10 conclude the NSL News live coverage from Prostejov?
posted: Sep 5th, 2009 It's all over at the FAI World Cup 2009. The last two rounds have been completed successfully, and the clouds have come back. It was a magic weather break that allowed the host in Protejov and Manifester Bryan Burke to get it all done just in time. France Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge clearly won the World Cup 2009 after a great performance. Hayabusa Defence woke up in Rounds 9 and 10 with two highscores. One more Belgian point got lost in Round 10. Hayabusa has one year now to find out what went well in the last two rounds and then do that all the time. The Belgian team will probably show... (more)
News Article Did you know that Hayabusa Defence won the semifinal round?
posted: Sep 5th, 2009 The exits and Block 1 (Snowflake - Offset) on the hill caused a lot of trouble for several teams in Round 9, the official semifinals. Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge lost two points of the 24 points in working time and gave up the first round to Hayabusa Defence. The Belgian team had the highest score with the 25-pointer, before and after penalties. Sinapsi was hit very hard and almost funneled the completion of Block 1 on the hill. An additional point deduction increased the damage, and the silver medal position is now very far away. Black Cat also completed 24 points in working time and lost three.... (more)
News Article Did you know that 15 teams are getting ready for the semifinals?
posted: Sep 4th, 2009 Nothing happened in Prostejov on Friday. The weather system kept everybody on the ground all day long. The female 4-way teams and the 8-way teams were lucky, as they had already two nights to celebrate the conclusion of their events. That did not count for the French and German competitors with double duties, of course. The weather looks better this morning. Saturday is the last day of the World Cup 2009, and the meet will be officially over at 2 pm. Hopefully there will be enough skies for two rounds of 4-way to avoid another incomplete FAI competition of the first category. The cut after... (more)
