posted: Dec 27th, 2008 The NSL News once again goes back in time. Christmas of 2008 is over, and the New Year is approaching quickly. This time, the step back found the last NSL News story of 2003, which was posted on December 31 and cannot be found in the NSL News archives. The story was a summary of the 2003 season and all of its major events. The NSL News was already busy by then covering the actual events of the NSL Network and also the other major Formation Skydiving competitions. News Article Did you know that Sweden's 2009 season may feature the same race as in 2008?
posted: Dec 27th, 2008 The NSL News covered the unofficial "scandinavian championship" at the World Meet 2008 with the story on 5 December 2008. The Swedish 4-way team Evolution, which represented one of the four scandinavian countries in Maubeuge, was a part of this story. Shortly before the world meet, on 29 July 2008, the NSL News had reported that Evolution surprisingly won the national championship and upset Blue Spirits by winning the Swedish tickets to the world meet at the last minute. News Article Did you know that the NSL News followed Eliana Rodriguez and Thomas Hughes at Christmas of 2001?
posted: Dec 25th, 2008 The NSL News goes back in time once again and leaps forward by one year, from Christmas 2000 to Christmas 2001. The December story in 2001 covered Eliana Rodriguez and Thomas Hughes at the time of their careers when they joined their first world class lineups in the Open Class, Eliana Rodriguez with Airspeed Zulu and Thomas Hughes with Sebastian XL. Eliana Rodriguez has already won the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in the Open Class two times ever since, once in each event, and added these titles to her 4-way gold medal in the female category. News Article Did you know that Arizona Divewerkz will continue in 2009?
posted: Dec 24th, 2008 The NSL News reported on 12 December 2008 that Arizona Divewerkz' center inside, Annie Peterson, has become the new point for the US national team in the female category, Fastrax Blue. Annie Peterson said that she did not know Arizona Divewerkz' plans for the near future and the 2009 season when she committed to the Fastrax Blue slot. The NSL News contacted Arizona Divewerkz directly to find out more. News Article Did you know that that the NSL News goes back in time for Christmas?
posted: Dec 23rd, 2008 The NSL News looked up the oldest story in the NSL News archives on Christmas Eve. It was posted on December 24 of 2000 and cannot be found any longer anywhere since the current archives of the database don't reach that far back. However, the stories are still available as they were posted and just require manual recovery. The Christmas story of 2000 covered Arizona Airspeed's situation after winning the USPA Nationals 2000 in 4-way and 8-way. Airspeed had just made a decision how to deal with representing the USA in both events at the World Meet 2001 in Spain. It was a very interesting situation... (more)
News Article Did you know that Perris Jimani's 2009 lineup is complete?
posted: Dec 22nd, 2008 Back to the team business of the west coast and other updates of successful recruiting efforts. The NSL News mentioned during the coverage of the NSL Championship 2008 that Perris Jimani was looking for a 4th member. The story on 3 December 2008 had covered how Jim Earman's Jimani lineup in DeLand won the AA Class competition. The three Jimani members of 2008 (Jim Earman, Anders Mattsson, Brian Sawatzky) then went team shopping together at the Perris Fury camp a little bit later, as the NSL News reported on 8 December 2008.
