posted: Nov 9th, 2009 The videos of Round 5 at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships introduce the AAA/Open Class teams that have not been on NSL-TV so far. The Round 5 show begins with Ranch Delivery, the team that finished on the very bottom of the Open Class field with a 7.4 average. David Gifford, Ivan Kaczor, Mario Mauro and Veera Ronalter put the team together only for the fun at the USPA Nationals 2009. Ivan Kaczor was a member of the national top team Ranch Air Traffic (RATs) years ago. Mario Mauro trained and competed with DeLand VNE in the 90s. Mario Mauro and Veera Ronalter will soon compete... Did you know that SkyQuest 2009 might or might not be a competition?
posted: Nov 8th, 2009 Not only the competition draw of the 100-way meet at SkyQuest 2009 has already been posted, as the NSL News reported on 5 November 2009. BJ Worth and his team captains have also finalized the lineups of their two 100-way teams. The rosters will be posted very soon. BJ Worth made fun of the latest NSL News update when he sent the second Kaleidoscope bulletin to his 200 competitors. He hinted in his message that it is far fetched to call the Kaleidoscope Dives 2009 a 100-way competition. The NSL News may have to study the definition of a competition. posted: Nov 7th, 2009 The videos of Round 4 at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships are coming along with an interesting story related to the reigning 4-way world champions and the old and new US national 4-way team, Arizona Airspeed. The actual videos of Round 4 are showing Airspeed delivering the second heavy blow to the direct rivals for the top spot. Airspeed came already out of the gate very strongly and had a 2-point lead over Spaceland Force XP after Round 1, three points over Perris Fury. The Force fought back in Round 2 and eliminated the Airspeed advantage. Then Airspeed won Round 3 by one... (more)

Did you know that Finland's Pro Team has passed Denmark's Voluntas?
posted: Nov 6th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 1 November 2009 that the audience had voted for Denmark's national 4-way team Voluntas as the unofficial Scandinavian champion of 2009. It turned out that the Scandinavian 4-way fans and others in the audience were not done when the first results were posted. The NSL News re-visited the same poll results later and discovered that they had changed. In fact, the results had changed significantly in the meantime. Did you know that the competition draw has been posted two weeks before the meet?
posted: Nov 5th, 2009 It's a little bit early to post the competition draw for a meet that it still two weeks away. However, it is very unlikely that any of the teams will be able to practice the competition jumps before the meet actually begins. The first competition day is Thursday, November 19. It would be an incredible logistical challenge to line up the 100 competitors of one of the teams to train the sequences before the competition begins. Seriously, it is not really a competition draw. Did you know that AAT/MD/Rogue members organize the next wind tunnel meet?
posted: Nov 4th, 2009 The NSL News has covered the unofficial "amateur record average" quite a few times in the past. Mass Defiance (Ben Liston - Center Inside, Jim Rees - Tail, John Silva - Center Outside, Brian Stephens - Point, Scuba" Steve Feldman - Camera) had posted the 19.3 average at the USPA Nationals 2007. The highest 10-round meet average of a weekend amateur team is still standing since no team scored higher at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships.
