News Article Did you know that the playoffs offer the last serious 10-round test?
posted: Sep 15th, 2008 The first scores of last weekend's three meets have already been posted. Brazil held its national championship, and CTR Optimum (Ziara Abud - Outside Center, Fábio Diniz - Tail, André Ferraz - Point, Pedro "Junior" Ushizima - Inside Center and Renato "Chubby" Acerbi on camera) won the title once again. The same linup had represented Brazil at the World Meet 2008 and finished in 18th place with a 13.5 average. CTR Optimum won last weekend with a 16.3 average. (more)
News Article Did you know that Team Future has a new 4-way lineup?
posted: Sep 13th, 2008 The NSL News story on 8 September 2008 explained how Team Future, with 11-year old Kayla Tinucci and her 8-year old brother Justin, has begun to copy the competition draws of the NSL Network this year. The first rounds of Team Future on the July 19 weekend were uploaded together with the story. The unique indoor team, with two kids who want to become skydiving world champions one day and two adults, may have become more competitive since Rusty Lewis joined the team as the player coach earlier this year. News Article Did you know that the Texel Airport Team collected most of the Dutch points?
posted: Sep 12th, 2008 The NSL News revisits one more time the ESL Championship 2008. A new team name caught the attention of the NSL News and the audience when the first scores were posted, as the story on 5 September 2008 reported. It turned out that the "Texel Airport Team", winner of the AAA Class competition and new European Skydiving League champion of 2008 was actually the Dutch national 4-way team Dynamic Fource, the top contributor of scoring points of all teams (73) for the Dutch ESL delegation. News Article Did you know that Perris Fury's original lineup is back in full swing?
posted: Sep 11th, 2008 The NSL News shifts back from Europe to the US west coast. The Southern California Skydiving League holds ist last meet of the regular season this weekend in Perris. Perris Fury and the team's members will once again either compete with their own lineup or as player coaches. Fury just informed the NSL News recently that Center Inside Chris Farina has fully recovered from his back injury and that the team is back in full training swing. The Fury 8-way project teams also recently trained at the Paraclete XP windtunnel in Raeford. (more)
News Article Did you know that the Chicas extended the lead in the fast Round 10?
posted: Sep 10th, 2008 Germany's DFV Cup 2008 is over, and the fastest sequence of Round 10 (O-7-F-M) had the expected impact only in the Open Class competition. The German national 4-way team, FSC Eisenach, finally pulled away from X-Ray Remscheid (30 - 26) and makes the top of the leaderboard look different now. Winning the DFV Cup 2008 was much more difficult for FSC Eisenach than the 6-point difference now indicates. It was actually a tough and close race round by round. News Article Did you know that Sinapsi plans its training campaign for 2009?
posted: Sep 9th, 2008 The NSL News coverage of the Italian Nationals 2008 ended after the scores of Round 9 were posted. It was already obvious by then that the new Sinapsi lineup would win the competition. The NSL News explained the interesting situation in Italy with the story on 30 August 2008. The story included the commentary that the new Sinapsi lineup was not yet performing and scoring on the same level where the 2004 and 2006 lineup was. That counted only for the first nine rounds. Sinapsi, with new Center Outside Steve Hamilton, eventually finished the competition with a world-class score in Round 10. The... (more)
