Did you know that Mikhail Kuznetsov pursues world meet medals for the 3rd time this year?
posted: Jul 15th, 2008 The NSL News reported on 18 June 2008 that the Sky Panthers were dominating the 4-way competition at the Russian Nationals 2008 after four rounds. The scores of the complete meet were posted a little bit later. Event Judge in Russia, Dr. Rainer "Exi" Hoenle from Germany, had provided the results and up-to-date information. Not much changed in the remaining six rounds. The other top contender, Black Cat, was able to shake off the terrible start and gave the Sky Panthers a good competition for the remainder of the meet. Did you know that Perris Fury opened the second day with a sole highscore?
posted: Jul 14th, 2008 The first outdoor competition jump on the second day of the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2008 brought a little surprise. Perris Fury scored the sole highscore in Round 7. It was the first time in this meet that Airspeed Odyssey did not win or tie the highest score. It was not the first time that Perris Fury outscored Airspeed Odyssey. That had already happened at rounds one and seven of the Valentine's Meet 2007, with the original lineup and Chris Farina in the Center Inside position. Did you know that Saturday was a very busy day for the teams with double duties?
posted: Jul 11th, 2008 Round 6 of the outdoor competition at the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2008 has now been uploaded and is available for reviews. All previous rounds can still be found at the NSL-TV page of the event. Round 6 completed the first day of the outdoor competition. Meet Director Tony Thacker was more than happy with the results of the first day since the weather situation in Raeford did not make it very easy for him. Rain and clouds interrupted the flow of the competition several times. Tim D'Annunzio, owner of the Paraclete XP wind tunnel and Paraclete XP team member, was just as glad as Tony Thacker.... (more)

Did you know that the Whites conceded after four rounds and more bad weather?
posted: Jul 9th, 2008 The second competition of the Coupe de France 2008 will make it into the history books - not for the best reasons though. The event was supposed to be the final showdown between the two female lineups, Aerokart Deep Blue (the "Blues") and White Nice Pujaut (the "Whites"). The first qualification event was already completely weathered out, as the NSL News reported on 10 June 2008, and the final qualification event was re-scheduled for last weekend. Did you know that NSL-TV videos feature teams from the Netherlands?
posted: Jul 7th, 2008 The Coupe de France competition ran parallel with two other meets in Europe, while the US leagues had a weekend off. Mike Pennock, league manager in the Netherlands, reported that last weekend's event was the first one where he had teams competing in each of the four competition classes of the NSL/ESL Network. He also said that the Netherlands had most beautiful weather, while France was struggling to get any jump planes in the air. Four coaches were on site and assisted the Dutch 4-way teams: reigning 4-way world champion Gary Smith, Marc Hoornweg, Johan Wieken and Leander van Schriek. Two... (more)
