posted: Mar 30th, 2008 The scores for Round 7 of the World Challenge 2008 have already been posted, while Round 8 is in progress. Team Aeon had no problem eventually knowing about the team's scoring level. Ellie McCoy and her mentors followed up well on the 23-pointer for Round 6 that was featured on NSL-TV. The 37-pointer in Round 7 lifted Aeon to a 22.9 average at the moment. The sequence of Round 7 is being presented by the Norwegian national 4-way team Arcteryx. posted: Mar 30th, 2008 The NSL-TV camera also followed a more successful performance in Round 6 of the World Challenge 2008. The NSL News has covered Team Aeon with 14-year old Ellie McCoy already several times in the past. The World Challenge 2008 was the first opportunity to meet the flying and competing teenager in person. She has some good company with former Airspeed world champion Gary Beyer who is the player coach for the team. His wife Emma Beyer, former 4-world champion in the female catogory with Airkix, is usually Ellie's piece partner in the front piece, while Paul Gatling and Gary Beyer are in the rear... (more)

Did you know that history seems to repeat itself once again?
posted: Mar 30th, 2008 It is quite amazing how history repeats itself. Round 6, the first round of the second day at the World Challenge 2008, was almost exactly a copy of last year's event, at least on the top of the leaderboard. Airspeed Odyssey came out of the gates with the strongest performance of the meet so far. The Arizona team has shown it so many times: Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard, Andy Delk and Mark Kirkby bring out their best when the challenge is at the highest point. No other team could keep up, including the leader after five rounds, XL. Airspeed won the round by three points over the British/American... (more)

Did you know that Perris Fury looked great on the NSL-TV camera in Round 5?
posted: Mar 29th, 2008 The scores of Round 4 have been posted, and XL is still holding on to the lead. One more round will be completed today. The situation is already a little bit more difficult for XL compared to last year. Pete Allum, Steve Hamilton, Brian Johnson and John McIver had a 2-point lead over Team Fastrax at the World Challenge 2007 after four rounds and at the end of the first day. XL 2008 has a 1-point lead over Airspeed after Round 4, and Round 5 is already in the works. Did you know that Doug Park remembered last year's XL drama?
posted: Mar 29th, 2008 Memories of last year's event did not only come back for the NSL News when Team XL still had the lead after Round 3, as the current leaderboard shows. The NSL-TV camera made a trip to the hangar where the teams prepare for their tunnel sessions. It surely is a very busy area. It was a good time to visit since Hayabusa Defence prepared for the next round on the creepers, and the team's former coach Doug Park, currently Fastrax and Knight Trax member, was watching all the activities in the hangar, together with the whole Perris Fury lineup. Did you know that Odyssey struggled with the airspeed in Round 1?
posted: Mar 29th, 2008 The scores of Round 1 at the World Challenge 2008 obviously brought back memories of last year's event. The international XL lineup opened the meet once again with the highest score of the round - over some of the best skydiving teams in the world, including Airspeed Odyssey. The NSL-TV camera followed Airspeed Odyssey this time from the last preparations in front of the entry to the flying chamber all the way through the Round 1 session and the immediate after-action.
