Did you know that the World Air Games 2009 are canceled for the 4-way teams? posted: Feb 25th, 2009 Sad news for the fans of 4-way Formation Skydiving competition and Freestyle came from Italy this week. The organizers of the World Air Games 2009 in Turin informed teams and competitors of both events that 4-way Formation Skydiving and Freestyle competition have been removed from the event schedule.
The official website of the World Air Games 2009 still features 4-way competition on its front page. However, the bad news were delivered by e-mail to the participants in the meantime. The Italian organizers tried to explain the reasons for the cancellation: (more)
Did you know that the Carolina Skydiving league supported Jump for the Cause? posted: Feb 24th, 2009 For the past two years the Carolina Skydiving League has held its annual meeting in at the Paraclete-XP wind tunnel in Raeford NC. The highlight of the Carolina Skydiving League annual meeting is the tunnel meet. This year the league decided to team up with Paraclete-XP to raise money for Jump for the Cause. Jump for the Cause is a 501c3 corporation and the skydiving industry's premier fundraising Organization. JFTC is dedicated to raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Research.

Did you know that the Perris Fury videos of the Valentine's Meet raise a big question? posted: Feb 23rd, 2009 The scores of the Valentine's Meet 2009 on the front page have now been replaced by the indoor results of the tunnel competition in North Carolina. However, the coverage of the season opener on the west coast is far from over, as the NSL News had already promised earlier to follow up with more information and videos.
The NSL News covered the Valentine's Meet 2009, first with a few previews, and then with updates on the actual meet weekend. Airspeed Odyssey's Center Outside Craig Girard helped to keep the leaderboard up-to-date round by round, while he was competing with his team.

Did you know that Final Four worked again successfully with the "Schleifer"? posted: Feb 22nd, 2009 The NSL News continues to introduce teams from other countries that visit the USA for winter training and competitions. This time, the winner of last year's German Skydiving League (DSL - Deutsche Sky Liga) season, Final Four, accepted the invitation for a live interview at the NSL office in DeLand.
Three of the current team members, Thomas Mack (Center Inside), Martin Steimle (Tail) and Arthur Wensel (Center Outside), founded Final Four in 2003 and started off with a 7.0 average. Did you know that a new world class team has entered the 4-way stage? posted: Feb 20th, 2009 There have been rumors in the skydiving community that a new top team will enter the race for this year's 4-way top spot in the USA. These rumors seem to have become reality, as some of the team members recently confirmed.
The lineup consists of Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo, Thomas Hughes and Gary Beyer. (more)
Did you know that Miami Synergy will compete in the AA Class? posted: Feb 19th, 2009 The NSL News has covered the A Class team from Skydive Miami in Homestead, Zero Tolerance Miami, several times last year and many times ever since the team was founded in January 2001. The Center Inside of Zero Tolerance 2008, Guido Marti, is a founding member of the original 2001 lineup and took a longer break before he came back with the 2008 lineup.
