How is the situation between Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury after the first showdown of the 2009 season? News Article Did you know that there are well known names in the World Challenge 2009 team rosters?
posted: Feb 17th, 2009 The NSL News story on 9 February 2009 reported that the World Challenge 2009 at Bodyflight Bedford already registered new record participation at the beginning of the month. The total number of 41 4-way teams by then became old news quite quickly. Bodyflight owner Paul Mayer updated the NSL News shortly after the story was published, and the number was already up to 44 teams. Team Sparky and Top Hat have joined the AAA Class field, and Fast Arrows from the Czech Republic brings additional top quality to the AA Class competition. posted: Feb 16th, 2009 A closer look at the results of the 2008 World Championships of Canopy Piloting in South Africa caught the attention of the NSL News once again. The names of the DeLand Fire 4-way world champions of 2006, Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo and Jonathan Taggle, are not new to the NSL News audience, as they have already won several Canopy Piloting titles and medals for the PD Factory Team. Another world-class 4-way competitor has quietly moved up in Canopy Piloting, as well, and has established his name in the top rankings of the big international meets. News Article Did you know that it's an Airspeed wrap in Eloy?
posted: Feb 15th, 2009 The four AAA Class teams completed their missing three rounds of the Valentine's Meet 2009 today, and nothing changed between Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury. Fury won the first round of the day by a point, but it was once again only caused by three Airspeed penalties in Round 8. The Perris team lost its own two points in Round 10, which reduced the score for the slowest sequence of the competition draw from 14 to 12 points. News Article Did you know that the 2009 race between Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury begins this weekend?
posted: Feb 13th, 2009 The long wait is over, the first scores of the 2009 season will be posted this weekend. It's time again for the Valentine's Meet, which has been the season opener for many years. It is also the first meet of the Arizona Skydiving League 2009, as Arizona Divewerkz speaker Blane Boynton mentioned in the AZDW update on 3 February 2009. As usual, Skydive Arizona in Eloy is hosting the competition. Meet Director veteran Bryan Burke manages the event, and chief judge Judy Celaya travels from California to Arizona to take care of the business in the judging room. News Article Did you know that Brazil's national team has a new lineup?
posted: Feb 12th, 2009 The 2009 meet schedule from Brazil came with additional news related to the national team of the past years, CTR Optimum. Two members of the lineup of the past years, André Ferraz and Fábio Diniz, had brought Brazil into the international NSL Network in 2005. At the same time, CTR Optimum also lifted the top level of 4-way competition in Brazil to new heights. Brazil's last scores at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving were posted in 2001 before CTR Optimum attended the World Meet 2006 in Germany. (more)
