News Article Did you know that Airspeed's Odyssey 2007 is now available on DVD?
posted: Feb 8th, 2008 Some of the regular Skyleague.com visitors have already detected a new item in the NSL Shop and ordered a new DVD that has been added to the inventory. Airspeed's Odyssey through the 2007 season, at least in parts, has now been documented on the new DVD, which has just become available. The NSL News has covered most of the events that Airspeed Odyssey attended last year, and many meet videos were uploaded and could be viewed on NSL-TV. However, a video on the internet is surely not the same as a DVD of the best 4-way jumps of the 2007 season, and the DVD offers much more than only competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that Felix Poseidon is the Italian national 4-way team this year?
posted: Feb 7th, 2008 The NSL News has covered the complicated situation in Italy after last year's national championship quite a few times. The last update on 29 January 2008 explained the perspective of the reigning Italian 4-way champion, the Eutelia Spin Team. Italy's parachute association, FIPAS, had already passed on the issue to a higher level by then, due to the complicated situation and the different intertwined interests of the involved parties. Italy's CCSA was now in charge of the final decision. The CCSA is the national sporting commission that oversees all aeronautical disciplines in Italy. (more)
News Article Did you know that DeLand Groove trains for the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008?
posted: Feb 6th, 2008 The last reunion of DeLand Genesis (Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo, Kyle Collins, David Van Greuningen, Eric Taylor) was actually planned for last year's USPA Nationals and did not materialize. The next attempt to get together as many of the original members as possible followed for the NSL Championship 2007, with the same unfortunate result. DeLand Groove instead (Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo, Solly Williams, Gary Smith) was more successful with a reunion at the FSL Shamrock 2007. The combination of DeLand Majik members (Solly Williams, Gary Smith) and DeLand Genesis (Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo) had... (more)

posted: Feb 4th, 2008 The NSL News reported on 10 January 2008 that the IPC delegates would re-consider the skydiving disciplines included in the World Air Games 2009 at the January meeting in Paris, France. The 3rd World Air Games will take place in Turin, Italy, in 2009. The Parachuting events originally included Freestyle, Style & Accuracy, Canopy Formation and Canopy Piloting. However, Formation Skydiving competition came back into the discussion since Turin has a problem with haze in the summer. Fiona McEachern, Chair of IPC's Formation Skydiving committee, updated the NSL News after the conclusion of the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Sky Panthers and Skylight Barkli never compete at the same meet?
posted: Feb 3rd, 2008 The participation of three Russian teams at the World Challenge 2008 is a good reason for an update from Russia. It is a very interesting situation in Russia this year. The best Russian 4-way teams have a challenging season ahead of them. The Russian Nationals 2008 is the qualification event for the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2008 in France. The Russian federation scheduled the event earlier than usual (June 15 - 22) to make it easier for the national team to be. However, it is still a very small window for the winner of the national championship to prepare for the World Meet... (more)
News Article Did you know that 32 teams are currently listed for the World Challenge 2008?
posted: Feb 1st, 2008 It is very difficult to decide in which order the teams competing at the World Challenge 2008 should be introduced. The field of teams is so interesting and diversified that the choice of the next story itself requires some thoughts. The number of teams has recently gone up to a total of 32, which did not surprise Bodyflight Bedford's owner, Paul Mayer. He is ready to accommodate a total of 40 teams. Denmark's national 4-way team of the past years, Danish Blaze, and an additional French lineup signed up for the windtunnel competition in the AAA Class at the end of March. Four British teams registered... (more)
