News Article Did you know that SSL teams win Perris SkyVenture Cup and travel to the NSL Championship 2004?
posted: Oct 12th, 2004 In a presentation at Perris Valley Skydiving during the USPA Championship 2004, Southwest Skydiving League Director Pamela Stevens presented the "Perris SkyVenture Cup" to the league's AAA Class winning team, Arizona Blade. The Blade team members, Natasha Montgomery, Thomas Hughes, Mark Kirkby and Robert Healy Jr., accepted their trophy and will bring it back to their home drop zone, Skydive Arizona. The trophy, a large silver cup on a solid wood base engraved with the name of its sponsor Perris SkyVenture and a space for each yearly recipient, will remain on display at Skydive Arizona until it... News Article Did you know that the NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2004 is next?
posted: Oct 8th, 2004 One championship event is over - the next one is coming up. The NSL Championship 2004 is scheduled for November 19 - 21 and will once again take place at Fantasy of Flight as a part of SkyQuest 2004. A total of 56 teams are eligible for this year's championship after attending the minimum of two meets of the regular 2004 season and the NSL Playoffs 2004. All these teams are listed below, according to the averages of the two season meets and the results at the playoffs. The defending champions receive NSL wild cards, this time including DeLand Majik. posted: Oct 6th, 2004 Arianna de Benedetti did not compete for the top rankings with the guest team Optic Kurves in Perris in the past days. However, the fun combination with Lise Aune and the new NSL Profile might have caught the attention of the valued NSL audience in Perris anyway. Dr. Joel Shugar put the line-up together once again, completed by long-time team mate Scott Keeler. The Omniskore camera caught the team dressed up for dinner action after the hard work... News Article Did you know that the new NSL Profile features Italy's Arianna De Benedetti?
posted: Oct 4th, 2004 It has been a while since Skyleague.com added a new NSL Profile. The recent world meet in Croatia was inspiration enough to continue this feature. Arianna de Benedetti of Sinapsi PD is one of the best female 4-way competitors in the history of Formation Skydiving. She belongs in the same category of high-caliber female athletes who have shown the world how female skydivers can keep up with the best male competitors, just as Dawn English, Lise Aune and Eliana Rodriguez have already shown. News Article Did you know that three teams from Elsinore go for Advanced Class medals?
posted: Oct 3rd, 2004 USPA's Advanced Class uses the same dive pool as the Open Class. However, the class has its own set of medals and rules, which are supposed to make clear which teams and competitors are eligible for the Advanced Class. There are several different opinions in the 4-way community whether former medal winners of the Advanced Class and "player coaches" should be allowed to compete in this class or not. The USPA definition for the team composition in this class and in the Intermediate Class is as follows: "No team in the Advanced or Intermediate 4-Way Formation Skydiving classes may be composed of... News Article Did you know that the 4-way competition will dominate the USPA Championship once again?
posted: Oct 2nd, 2004 The USPA Championship 2004 has already begun. The competitors of the artistic events have already determined some of their new US champions. Four teams competed in Skysurfing, five teams in Freestyle, a total of 17 teams currently competes for the Freestyle medals in two classes. These events are the ouverture to the main event of the USPA Championships, the Formation Skydiving competition in 4-way, 8-way and 16-way.
