Did you know that the Northern California Skydiving League had a successful comeback?
posted: Jun 21st, 2023 The NSL News announced on February 15th that the Northern California Skydiving League will have a comeback this year. Lori Connor had launched the league in 2014 and was rewarded for her impressive efforts with the Skydiver of the Year award, as the NSL News reported on 24 February 2015. She continued the league until the corona virus crisis brought her efforts in Northern California to an end in September 2019. Did you know that SkyWalkers Junior completed their first outdoor competition?
posted: Jun 19th, 2023 The NSL News reported on May 26th that Jan Klapka's dream of turning his 4-way junior indoor competitors into skydivers who jump from planes and become the next generation of Czech 4-way competitors has come true. He introduced the Skywalkers Junior to the NSL News, who are a combination of the HF Flying Rebels and the HF Chameleons. Filip Lukavec, Antonin Ondracek and Martin Stransky completed their AFF training, joined forces with Kristian Vlk and launched the beginning of their 4-way outdoor competition career as soon as this year's outdoor season began. Did you know that Jeana Billings and Mathieu Bernier have much in common?
posted: Jun 18th, 2023 The NSL News explained on June 14th that XPG4 and XPGK8 member Jeana Billings has committed to her 4-way and 8-way double duties until the next FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Israel 2024. She is the only competitor in the U.S. delegation who will complete ten rounds in both events. The challenge of double duties at world championships and world cups has been discussed many times by the NSL News and experts who have experienced the same situation in their careers. Did you know that NFTO's new lineup is on a different mission?
posted: Jun 17th, 2023 The NSL News previews of the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023 included the first NSL Power Rankings for the competition in 4-way Women. NFTO, the British outdoor world champions at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, were set in 3rd place, the same position where the same lineup finished at the FAI Indoor World Championship half a year later. NFTO had the top spot in the NSL Power Rankings before the indoor competition in Slovakia, and the 3rd place finish could be considered an upset, even though the French and the U.S. delegations both arrived with stronger lineups of their national teams in... posted: Jun 14th, 2023 The return of XPG4 member Jeana Billings to the U.S. national team in 4-way Women brings back the topic of 4-way and 8-way double duties that the NSL News has covered for many years. Jeana Billings is still a member of Paraclete XP's new 8-way team, XPGK8, with reigning 8-way world champions in the lineup. The topic of double duties has mostly been related to the situation at FAI World Championships and World Cups, where the best teams in the world are trying to win medals. Did you know that German, Czech and U.S. 4-way teams may create a shared leaderboard this weekend?
posted: Jun 13th, 2023 The upcoming meet weekend will be bringing together teams from three different countries on the same leaderboards, if the weather cooperates everywhere. The annual Paranodon Cup in Illertissen, Germany, takes place at the same time when Jan Klapka has scheduled the first outdoor meet for the Czech teams. Lori Connor offers the teams in Northern California the comeback event for 4-way teams in her region at the same time, as well.
