Did you know that the indoor/outdoor transition works well in Texas? posted: Apr 13th, 2022 The aftermath of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 will continue for a while. However, other events continue, and the two French competitors are not the only ones who transition to outdoor training and competition priority.
The Indoor Cloud League teams have their own balance between indoor and outdoor teams and competitors, which the NSL News has pointed out many times as a part of the ICL coverage. Kyle Hermberg, ICL organizer of the iFLY Dallas team, is one of the indoor experts, who focuses exclusively on indoor training and competition.
He provided the NSL News with the March update from... (more)
Did you know that Tom Mattoni and Mathieu Quizy switch to outdoor training and competition? posted: Apr 12th, 2022 One of the few teams in the world who could aim at keeping up with Arizona Airspeed is the French national indoor team in 4-way Open, Aerokart Monaco Ak'demie. Three of the team members (Cameron Malie, Oscar Massier, Tom Mattoni) have been training and competing together since 2016 when they were a part of the French 4-way junior program at the Aerokart windtunnel in Paris.
National coach Mathieu Bernier was aware of the potential of the team, and he decided last year to assign the three former juniors as the national indoor team in 4-way Open, with Mathieu Quizy as the 4th member.

It was not any different after the ten outdoor rounds of the Shamrock Showdown in March, and Arizona Airspeed launched their strongest indoor/outdoor start of a new year in the team's history. The new indoor record average of 34.6 was logically not a surprise. In fact, Airspeed were ready to... (more)

As expected, nothing changed in the medal positions due to the slower nature and lack of opportunity of the last two rounds. The NSL News pointed out the situation around the Top 10 ranking positions yesterday, and this drama lived up to the expectations.
However, there was another interesting and competitive situation in the medal positions. The FAI Indoor World Cup includes the official FAI European Championship, where only one national team is eligible for any medal... (more)

Many of the 4-way teams usually prepare the next rounds before leaving the windtunnel, while others do the same wherever they are accommodated. However, the creeping area at the event site is probably the only location where this part of performance preparation can be done.
Two teams still used the creeper pad when the artistic competition rounds began in the... (more)
