News Article Did you know that Brazil's INIT-Y have the momentum of teams in the Top 10 battle?
posted: Apr 8th, 2022 Gary Smith was right on point with his evaluation of the competition draw. The whole second day of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 did not change much on the leaderboards in 4-way Open and 4-way Women. In fact, the teams in the medal positions just solidified the situation at the end of the first day and the first four rounds. Arizona Airspeed and HF Cubs were even able to extend their respective leads in 4-way Open and 4-way Women. The Czech team also added some distance to ISR FireFlash on the combined AAA leaderboard, where they are holding the 4th place behind Arizona Airspeed, Aerokart Ak'demie... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech Republic has a very strong delegation in Charleroi?
posted: Apr 8th, 2022 The start of the second competition day at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 did not change much, as it was expected, according to the evaluation of the competition draw by Gary Smith. Arizona Airspeed keep retaliating after the 4-point damage in Round 2, the fastest sequence of the competition. Even the loss of this round doesn't hurt the U.S. champions, as they perform on a different level than all the other teams. It is interesting to see how NMP PCH HayaBusa are building momentum and confidence with the new team member, meet by meet and round by round. It seems like the Belgians have switched... (more)
News Article Did you know that coach David Grauwels and team player Pete Allum came together for NSL Live Talk?
posted: Apr 7th, 2022 The NSL News featured a conversation with Pete Allum on February 16th. One of the most experienced skydivers in the history of the sport provided details of the British Indoor Nationals 2022. Pete Allum has mostly been known as one of the most popular coaches in the Formation Skydiving competition world, even though he has a long history as a very active competitor. The NSL News story with the NSL Live Talk brought him back to the audience as a 4-way competitor at the national indoor championships in February, where his team Meraki placed 2nd behind Chimera. He was not in the player-coaching... (more)
News Article Did you know that the combined AAA Class leaderboard is showing the strength of the 4-way Women teams?
posted: Apr 7th, 2022 The first day of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 is over, and the fast start into the competition did what Gary Smith expected to happen. It separated the teams on the top of the leaderboard enough and allows them to feel comfortable in their positions. It became dramatic only once when the French 4-way Open Class team outscored Arizona Airspeed by four points in Round 2. However, the much more experienced team fixed the situation quickly and put nine points between themselves and Aerokart Ak'demie in the following two rounds. The young French national indoor team will most likely defend the... (more)
News Article Did you know that the three medal positions in 4-way Open seem to be taken after the Super Sequence?
posted: Apr 7th, 2022 Round 1 of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 kept the rankings mostly in the expected order in 4-way Open and 4-way Women. The NSL News camera recorded almost the complete round in all three categories and introduced the teams as much as possible. The situation in 4-way Junior was very different, as the eight rounds began with a fast Super Sequence. HF Flying Rebels and Aerokart Ak'demie mastered it and had only one point deduction each. The HF Chameleons fell behind after four penalties and a slower pace. The French 4-way juniors won the round with a new world record and had the lead for one... (more)
News Article Did you know that Thursday could be the most important day of the indoor world cup?
posted: Apr 6th, 2022 The opening ceremony of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 followed the official speed test flying sessions later in the afternoon at the event site. It started with a miniature rock concert by a 2-boy band, with an electric guitar and percussion, which fit perfectly to the 4-way Junior event, even though the youngest 4-way competitors were still several years older than the musicians. The crowd of participants split into three groups after the opening ceremony for the event briefings, and for the competition draw in Formation Skydiving competition. Chief Judge Wolfgang Duller from Austria supervised... (more)
