posted: Apr 1st, 2022 The Shamrock Showdown 2022 was not supposed to be just a duel between the reigning 4-way world champions from Belgium and arguably the currently strongest 4-way team in the world, Arizona Airspeed. The event has always been open for any other 4-way and 8-way teams, long before wind tunnels and pandemics kept teams away from traveling abroad and overseas. There was one team that decided to take as much advantage of the opportunity as possible, and the travel distance was more than reasonable. Did you know that four teams competed for bronze medals in 4-way Open at Paraclete XP?
posted: Mar 31st, 2022 Three XP8 world champions of the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 last August were considering to compete at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2022 in 4-way, with their new 8-way team mate Craig Girard. Brian Krause eventually decided to do only the 8-way competition, with XP8 and another team, after the intensive 8-way Hell Week with a lot of flying, coaching and organizing. However, Kirk Verner and John D'Annunzio did not want to miss the 4-way competition, and new XP8 member Craig Girard was ready to add the ten 4-way rounds to his agenda, as well. Did you know that the four Czech teams are ready for the indoor world cup?
posted: Mar 30th, 2022 Two of the four Czech 4-way teams who will compete at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 next week contributed heavily to the Indoor Cloud League total for the month of March while training for the live competition in Charleroi. HF Flying Circus and HF Flying Rebels together accounted for 77 ICL points. The 4-way seniors of the Loosers and HF Junior Green added the 64 points for the three Rookie Class sequences to make it a total of 141 in March. HF Flying Circus outscored the HF Cubs twice in March (AAA/AA), and the HF Flying Rebels won the AA/A combination over the second Czech 4-way Junior... (more)

Did you know that all three Finnish AAA Class teams posted record averages?
posted: Mar 30th, 2022 Finland's two strongest 4-way teams, Pro Team and Tribe, were both pre-registered for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022, as the list of teams and delegations was showing on February 17th. Both teams withdrew eventually when the next complications after the corona virus crisis occurred, not only for the Russian teams and competitors. The Pro Team was expected to battle with several teams for a Top 10 spot on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard, as the preview on March 10th still pointed out. posted: Mar 29th, 2022 The Qatar Falcons had actually scheduled their participation at the Shamrock Showdown 2022 as a part of their spring camp at Skydive City in Florida. In fact, the spring camp began in North Carolina, where they posted their first scores of the year. The Shamrock Showdown did not include 8-way this time, as no other teams signed up for the event, and the Qatar Falcons were in training while NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed had their own AAA Class duel. They trained with their new team member, Saleh Al Mohanadi, in Paraclete XP's 16-foot flying chamber for two hours during 8-way Hell Week,... (more)

Did you know that the French Aerokart Ak'demie juniors attended their first AAA Class competition?
posted: Mar 28th, 2022 The AAA Class leaderboard of the French Indoor Nationals 2022 also included former and current Aerokart Ak'demie 4-way juniors. The NSL News introduced the former juniors, Cameron Malie, Oscar Massier and Tom Mattoni, and their new senior team mate Mathieu Quizy on January 26th. Their scores at the national indoor championships this month moved them apparently closer to the 4-way Open Class medal positions at the upcoming FAI Indoor World Cup.
