Did you know that the Qatar Tigers are the 11th nation with FAI bronze medals in 4-way Open? posted: Dec 9th, 2021 The bronze medals for the Qatar Tigers at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 went by without the deserved NSL News attention. NMP PCH HayaBusa's and Qatar Tigers' coach Gary Smith was credited for his very impressive record on August 31st, and the Belgian 4-way world champions have always been enjoying quite consistent coverage, as well.
The team in 3rd place of the world championships always seems to be in the shadow of the duel between the two current 4-way powerhouses, Belgium and United States, who have been sharing the two top spots since 2012. No other national 4-way teams have come even close... (more)
Did you know that Bubbles won Russia's first 4-way gold medals at a world championship? posted: Dec 7th, 2021 Despite the awkward and very unfortunate circumstances, the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 still generated new world champion teams in Formation Skydiving competition. There were no big surprises, even though the Qatar Tigers won the first 4-way medals for their country.
The preview with the NSL Power Rankings expected the final rankings as they materialized, with the Qatar Tigers in 3rd place. It was not even the first time that France did not win a 4-way medal. This happened at the FAI World Meet in Prostejov 2014 for the first time.

Did you know that iFLY Dallas is heading towards its new Indoor Cloud League record total? posted: Dec 6th, 2021 Three of the regular player-coaches at the Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Dallas were busy with the last preparations for the USPA Nationals 2021, and they still took the time to perform the AAA/AA sequences in October.
Michael Erickson, Aaron Perkins and Caden Maydew were getting ready for the most important outdoor competition of the year, where they won the USPA silver medals in the AA/Intermediate Class, together with their player-coach Lucas King and team videographer Alan Levy. Did you know that Weembinamic 8-way winner Veloce QRF walked away with one black eye? posted: Dec 5th, 2021 The Weembinamic 2021 included an 8-way competition, as well, and the discrepancy between the traditional leaderboard and the placings on the 8-way podium was even more significant than it was in the 4-way competition.
The NSL News explained on December 1st how the different competition format scrambled the 4-way medal positions. It was a close call in 4-way, as the three teams in the rankings behind the winner, Aerokart, were separated by only two points. It was one of the closest medal rankings at any event this year, and the positions on the final leaderboard could have been different easily.... (more)
Did you know that the new SDC Rhythm XP lineup is almost complete? posted: Dec 4th, 2021 SDC Rhythm XP's selection of four new team members is almost completed. Doug Barron, the only returning member of the previous lineup, announced that he has three new team mates for the near future. One slot is still open.
Doug Barron selected the three new Rhythm members from three different categories of the USPA Nationals 2021. Only Keith Connor competed together with Doug Barron in 4-way Open at this year's national championships. He was in the Bullet lineup, together with three highly experienced 4-way competitors.
