News Article Did you know that Italy's 8-way team Ex3mo has hired Dan BC as the 2008 coach?
posted: Oct 8th, 2007 Luca Stanga, President and team member of the Italian 8-way team Ex3mo, was already a happy man after winning the Italian Nationals 2007, as the photo of the award ceremony shows. However, he had another opportunity to celebrate just a few weeks later. He recently wedded Monica Stanga on a very exciting but different day for his team. The wedding ceremony took place on October 5. Italy's IPC Delegate Sara Sacchet was invited and reported a great social event: "It was a very evocative ceremony with a fantastic dinner afterwards in one of the most beautiful restaurants on the countryside." News Article Did you know that Hayabusa Defence and Golden Knights compete in India?
posted: Oct 5th, 2007 Another interesting 4-way competition is coming up before the NSL Championship 2007 begins on October 26. Military delegations of 38 nations are currently getting ready to compete at the 4th CISM Military World Games in India. CISM stands for "Conseil International du Sport Militaire", and the organization manages the international military sports events, including the military parachuting competitions. (more)
News Article Did you know that this year's Perris Fury project concludes at the NSL Championship 2007?
posted: Oct 4th, 2007 Perris Fury already had a very busy 2007 season, which included a lot of team training and four competitions with the original line-up. Chris Farina (Inside Center), Christy Frikken (Outside Center), Josh Hall (Point) and Uli Steuwe (Tail) have a season average of 22.1 in the books after these four meets. The 24.7 average at the July meet of the California Skydiving League was the peak of the 2007 season. The 33-pointer in Round 5 of the same meet is the highest Fury score for a single round. The 22.1 season average and the 20.9 average at the USPA Nationals 2007 was still only good enough for... (more)
News Article Did you know that three AAA/Advanced Class generations competed together this year?
posted: Oct 3rd, 2007 The scores of the winning teams in USPA's Advanced Class have been going up ever since this competition class was introduced at the USPA Nationals 1999 in Sebastian. Team Frost (Niklas Gummeson, Carlos Curtis, Sally Hathaway and Robert Healy, with Tony Hathaway on camera) won the first USPA gold medals in 1999 with a 13.6 average. Perris Aftermath (Michael Anderson, William Morrison, Piya Nava and Steve Saloman, with Donald Simonds on camera) won this year with a 15.8 average. The 10-round average posted by Perris Aftermath in September was the highest average for any winning team in this competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that the best "amateur teams" did well at the USPA Nationals 2007?
posted: Oct 2nd, 2007 The NSL News covered mostly the teams on the top of the leaderboard throughout the live coverage at the USPA Nationals 2007. Perris Fury in 4th place received attention before and during the competition, and Mass Defiance presented the sequence of Round 5 for the NSL-TV audience on September 8. The position of the team from the New England Skydiving League split the leaderboard between the "full-time teams" and the "weekend amateurs" beginning in 5th place. The 19.3 average was an impressive new record result for Mass Defiance and only six points behind the full-timers of the French guest... (more)
