News Article Did you know that the NSL-TV audience can compare Hayabusa's and Odyssey's Block 18 directly?
posted: Sep 24th, 2007 NSL-TV has already shown all ten rounds of the new FAI World Cup 2007 champion in 4-way, Belgian's Hayabusa Defence. However, the most exciting jump of the FAI World Cup 2007 was Hayabusa's jump-off round with France, which has now been uploaded. Hayabusa Defence and France Maubeuge had gone neck-to-neck throughout the whole 10-round competition, and the Belgian team was one single point ahead of France going into the last regular round of the meet. There was a lot of pressure, and Hayabusa Defence did not do too well, as the team commented the judging and viewing of Round 10: (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL Championship 2007 weekend offers a lot of entertainment in DeLand?
posted: Sep 22nd, 2007 The 2007 competition season is still not quite over yet. There are a few regional league meets scheduled in September and October, and the conclusion of the NSL 2007 season comes with the NSL Championship 2007 (October 26 - 28) and SkyQuest 2007 (November 15 - 18). The NSL Championship 2007 has been a part of SkyQuest in the past years. That was different in the early years of the National Skydiving League. The championship events of 1998, 1999 and 2000 were separate events and hosted by Skydive DeLand, as the records of the NSL history show. (more)
News Article Did you know that Italy joins the NSL/ESL Network in 2008?
posted: Sep 21st, 2007 Great news came from Italy this week. The Italian 4-way teams will join the international 4-way network next year. Italy's IPC Delegate Sara Sacchet had presented a proposal to the Italian federation (FIPaS) earlier this year, which included the synchronization of the Italian dive pool and competition draw with the NSL/ESL package. Sara Sacchet confirmed that the proposal was agreed to at the recent FIPaS meeting. The synchronization of the Italian dive pool and competition draw creates the foundation to fully integrate the Italian meet schedule for 2008 into the NSL/ESL calendar of events. (more)
News Article Did you know that Shannon Pilcher and Ian Bobo won gold and silver in Ottawa?
posted: Sep 20th, 2007 The 2007 season has once again been a hybrid project for Shannon Pilcher and Ian Bobo, members of the PD Factory Team. Both former DeLand Fire members are still the reigning 4-way world champions, even though they have not trained and competed much at all in 4-way after the World Meet 2006 in Germany. Both world-class 4-way jumpers and canopy pilots traveled all over the world this year with the PD Factory Team to compete at swooping events and continue with their 4-way coaching projects at the same time. One of the coaching projects took place in Spain and was called "The Project". Shannon... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Pilatus Porters in France 2008 carry two teams and have no steps?
posted: Sep 19th, 2007 The qualification events for the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2008 in France have taken place in most of the countries that will send their teams to the event next year. The majority of the nations that are members of the International Parachuting Commission (IPC) select their national teams at the national championship of the year prior to the next world meet. However, the selection process may be different in each country. The USPA Nationals 2007 included the selection of the US national teams for the World Meet 2008 in France. Airspeed Odyssey and Fastrax Blue will represent... (more)

posted: Sep 17th, 2007 The Formation Skydiving events of the USPA Nationals 2007 have already been completed last week. However, the NSL News is surely not done yet with the coverage of the event. There are still many more stories to come, which will include the gradual transition of the new US national teams into the preparation process for the World Meet 2008 in France. A new page has been added to the homepage of the event, which provides an overview with links to the uploaded and available NSL-TV video files. The page includes links to the interviews that the NSL News made live on site at Skydive Chicago. (more)
