News Article Did you know that the world dominance in 8-way seems to come in phases?
posted: Oct 1st, 2007 Two new NSL-TV Airspeed videos of the USPA Nationals 2007 brings the NSL News back to the 8-way competition. The story on September 25 covered the 8-way battle between Italy and Germany in the last four years. The NSL News now takes a closer look at the whole international situation at the end of the 2007 season. (more)
News Article Did you know that Florida's AA Class teams continue with their race?
posted: Sep 29th, 2007 The weekend of the USPA Nationals 2007 had all three AA/Intermediate Class teams of the Florida Skydiving League competing at the same time and with the same competition draw. However, one of the teams, FSC Wind Damaged, did not travel to Illinois and completed the ten rounds at Skydive DeLand, together with two other FSL teams, ZT Mal4mations and Miami Vice. The same three AA Class teams from Florida, FSC Wind Damaged, Total Chaos and Z-Team's 12 Fluid OZ, have been battling with each other throughout the whole 2007 season. News Article Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey's winning Round 6 is now on NSL-TV?
posted: Sep 28th, 2007 Thomas Hughes mentioned in the interview with the NSL News on September 26 that Airspeed Odyssey had the best jump in Round 6. Odyssey wrapped up the meet with the 24-pointer, which alone won three points over Team Fastrax Red and the Golden Knights. NSL-TV had not uploaded the Odyssey video of Round 6 so far, and it was about time to look at it after the interview. (more)
News Article Did you know that the league directors are very active competitors?
posted: Sep 27th, 2007 The directors and managers of the NSL affiliated leagues are mostly very active skydivers and competitors. Several of them traveled to Illinois and competed at the USPA Nationals 2007. The passion for Formation Skydiving competition and their close proximity to the action makes them the greatest ambassadors for the sport and their leagues. Annie Peterson has been managing the first season of the new Arizona Skydiving League. She trains and competes as the Center Inside for Arizona Divewerkz. Her team won the AAA/Advanced Class gold medals at the USPA Nationals 2006 and competed in the AAA/Open... (more)
News Article Did you know that Thomas Hughes has his own right-door experiences?
posted: Sep 26th, 2007 Thomas Hughes, Center Inside of Team Fastrax Red, has provided the NSL News with information and comments on NSL-TV at several occasions in the past. The NSL News asked him once again for an interview after a short rest from the last action at the USPA Nationals 2007, and Hughes visited the NSL office earlier today. Hughes competed in 4-way (Fastrax Red) and 8-way (Knight Trax) and won silver medals in both events. He also assisted Fastrax Blue during the competition at Skydive Chicago after working with the new US national team in IPC's female 4-way category throughout the 2007 season. (more)
News Article Did you know that Italy increases the distance to Germany in 8-way?
posted: Sep 25th, 2007 The NSL News has not completed yet the coverage of the German Nationals 2007. The story on September 14 indicated that the members of the 4-team FSC Eisenach (Markus Bastuck, Dieter Schwarz, Dr. Jörn Thiele, Max Thiele and Alexander Hau on camera) were on their way to win the 4-way and 8-way titles both. FSC Eisenach had won the 4-way event with an 18.9 average, and the EADS line-up (FSC Eisenach plus Jens Goennemann, Thomas Spielvogel, Olaf Biedermann, Goran Meyer) also took the 8-way title with a 15.3 average and without much serious competition.
