posted: Sep 20th, 2006 The 2006 season of the Southwest Skydiving League has come to an end with last weekend's NSL Playoffs 2006 event in Elsinore. The SSL competition finally featured the long expected west coast showdown between Perris Fury and Elsinore Gravity, and both teams lived up to the high expectations with an incredible neck-to-neck horse race. News Article Did you know that four Air Force teams plan to defend the NSL title at SkyQuest 2006?
posted: Sep 18th, 2006 Colorado Skydiving League Director Travis Roth happily announced a successful conclusion of the 2006 season after last weekend's NSL Playoffs event at the Mile-Hi Skydiving Center. "Our weather last weekend was surprisingly windy. A few loads took off early on Saturday morning, however the winds picked up to 50 MPH quickly. While a friend of mine had fun with a wingsuit running around Downtown Denver catching gusts of winds and the eyes of confused tourists, skydivers were not jumping anywhere in Colorado. (more)
News Article Did you know that SkyQuest 2006 and NSL Championship move back to DeLand this year?
posted: Sep 15th, 2006 SkyQuest 2006 is in the works. The new logo on the top of the front page indicates that the popular event will be continued. However, Fantasy of Flight is not the host any longer. Skydive DeLand will be the new location for SkyQuest 2006. The home of the 4-way world champions DeLand Majik and DeLand Fire had already hosted the NSL Championships in 1998, 1999 and 2000. The NSL Championship has obviously become a part of a bigger event in the meantime. SkyQuest 2005 consisted of the 100-way Kaleidoscope Dives, the Pond Swooping competition, 40-way sequentials and the 4-way competition of the NSL... (more)
News Article Did you know that Chris Wagner knows the whole history of the Fun Flag?
posted: Sep 13th, 2006 The NSL News story on September 9 mentioned that one of the event photos, provided by ESL Director Willy Boeykens, enjoyed special attention. The conclusion of the photo mystery is the fact that the Fun Flag was flying high in the packing and event hangar of the Spa Skydiving Center, Belgian host of the ESL Championship 2006. There were rumors that the Fun Flag was stolen by Belgian competitors at the World Meet 2006 in Germany. In fact, the NSL News had even video evidence of the incident. News Article Did you know that EADS and Thomas Spielvogel might have a unique opportunity next year?
posted: Sep 12th, 2006 The NSL News goes back to Germany, host of this year's FS World Championship, and the conclusion of the DFV-Cup. The NSL News story on September 7 covered the 4-way competition, and the more exciting 8-way competition received comprehensive attention on September 8. The national 4-way team of the past years, EADS, defended the 4-way title successfully and without serious problems against the young challengers of team Next Generation.
