Did you know that Perris Fury's rear piece has mastered the first slot switchers? posted: Nov 29th, 2007 The NSL News story on 1 November 2007 broke the news that Perris Fury committed to two/three more years with the same line-up. The training efforts for the new time period began with a tunnel camp in Bedford this month.
The Perris Fury members explained in the live interview for the NSL News that the team will change the continuity plan and mainly retire the mirror images. Instead, both pieces will accept memory and slot switchers in the future, as most of the top teams have already applied this concept.

Did you know that the United Kingdom Skydiving League (UKSL) invites teams to visit in 2008? posted: Nov 28th, 2007 Great Britain is taking its 4-way competition series to the next level. Chris Hollis, Formation Skydiving representative of the British Parachute Association (BPA), recently informed the NSL News that he has new plans for the future of Formation Skydiving competition in his country.
The British "Grand Prix" event series of 4-way and 8-way competitions has already been around for a while. The first registered events and scores go back to the 2003 season. Did you know that AAA Class newcomer Nick Grillet posted a 15.3 average in November? posted: Nov 27th, 2007 The NSL Championship 2007 was actually supposed to be the stage for this year's last and ultimate showdown between Optic Nerve and Teiwaz, two of the longest standing 4-way teams in the skydiving world.
The NSL News story on October 29 mentioned that Optic Nerve had shown up in DeLand on Saturday morning of the 4-way competition. However, the weather did not allow any jumping that day, the forecast for Sunday was terrible, and Optic Nerve had given up any hope. The two completed rounds on Sunday were a surprise, as the NSL News reported in the same story, and only Teiwaz was on site to compete.

Did you know that Perris Fury and Bodyflight Storm continued with more 2-on-2 training? posted: Nov 26th, 2007 The NSL News story on November 12 had provided insights of Perris Fury member Christy Frikken after her return from a tunnel camp at Bodyflight Bedford. Her team had just completed the visit at the NSL Championship 2007 before traveling to Great Britain.
The tunnel camp included coaching by and tunnel training for Perris Fury. It also continued with the cooperation of the Perris team with Bodyflight Storm, the new British national 4-way champion and national team in the Open Class. Christy Frikken commented the November training with Bodyflight Storm from her perspective.

Did you know that the Kaleidoscope 2007 signature dive was completed on Sunday? posted: Nov 18th, 2007 The Kaleidoscope Divers added another five jumps to their account on Saturday. The main focus of the day was on the signature dive of SkyQuest 2007, which served as the outline for the design of this year's shirts. Solly Williams presented the front design of the new shirt. Skydive DeLand and UPT's Micron sponsored the Kaleidoscope 2007 shirts.
The first jump in the morning was another effort to improve the previous pictures of the "Snake" design. The pretty and challenging shape of the first formation and the move of the "Snake" to become a large Star made this jump probably the highlight of... (more)
Did you know that a 3-point 104-way is the peak in DeLand so far? posted: Nov 16th, 2007 Warmer temperatures, slower winds, better spot - the mixture was much better for the second jump of the Kaleidoscope Divers today. The result came instantly and was exciting for the 104 participants and three videographers.
The 5th and last effort using the first dive design ended up as a 3-point 104-way. The NSL News documented once again the whole jump, including preparations and boarding, the actual skydive and a few fresh impressions right after the landings. Gustavo Cabana provided the freefall footage of this jump.
